The Century Old Roman Catholic Church

Explore the underwater in Bobon Diving resort! It
is situated in Bobon, San Juan, Southern Leyte. It
displays the abundance of Marine Resources, Coral
Tidbits and Marine Plants which 300 Marine species
can be found.

St. John the Baptist Parish is situated at the heart

of San Juan, Southern Leyte. It was built in 19th
Century. The materials used in building this church
were limestone and hard timbers. It was the only
Church in Pacific Area that was chosen as a Pilgrim
Church in the Diocese of Maasin.

comes from the
wonders of two municipalities in Pacific Area which
is Anahawan and San Juan. These two
municipalities are connected to the stratovolcano
named as Mt. Kantayoktok (Mt. Cabalian) which has
an elevation of 945 metres (3,100 ft) with a base
diameter of 8.5 kilometres (5.3 mi). The
predominant rock type is andesite. Other thermal
features present are hot springs located on the east
and west flank of the volcano. Mainit Hot Spring in
the municipality of Anahawan, Southern Leyte has a
temperature of 63.4–63.9 °C (146.1–147.0°F).
AnaJuan has five known captivating scenic
views, Mainit Hot Spring and Acacia Centennial
Tree in Anahawan, and Cabalian Lake, St. John
the Baptist Parish and Bobon Diving Resort in
San Juan.

Mainit Hot Spring
The Mainit Hot’s spring is situated in the
Mountainous Barangay of Mainit, Anahawan,
Southern, the only hot’s spring around the
province of Southern Leyte .
It is one of the Anahawnons grandeur which is
famous for its curative and medicinal potency for
skin disorders, people from neighboring and distant
places visit this volcanic spring not only because of
its healing potential but also for its scenic panorama
and serenity.

Cabalian Lake
Cabalian Lake is the crater of the extinct
volcano located at Mt. Cabalian 800 meters
above sea level. Spanning about 710
meters, SW of Mt. Cabalian summit.
It is one of the tourist attractions in San Juan
wherein tourists will have to hike the
mountainous peak of San Juan to reach
Cabalian Lake. The recreational place set within
its cool and invigorating water make it among the
leading adventure destination in San Juan. It has
tranquil and clear water.
