 First of all we are graceful to almighty Allah for giving us the power to finish our
term paper with a well established way and at a perfect or schedule time period. To
make a report it needs a lot of information, effort, link, members’ coordination and
so on. The main purpose of this report is to analyze factors & environment of an
industry which is called industry analysis.

 We are thankful to our respected teacher Kohinur Akter, lecturer, BBS department,
BRAC University. She was so familiar with us about how to collect data, she explains
us how should be the acknowledgement and recommendation and their necessity.
Moreover she helps us how to overcome from the obstacles of this report.

Finally we would like to give thanks to our well wishers.

Executive Summary

 In this paper we have analyzed the telecommunication industry and have made
some recommendations that we believe would contribute to the further growth and
expansion of the industry. Each of the sections mentioned assumes an in-depth
analysis. For example, we have discussed about the threat to entry to the
telecommunication market by evaluating expected retaliation, entry deterring
prices etc. Moreover, the strength and weaknesses of the major competitors have
been identified, while we have delved into the strategic perspectives that they
pursue.

 In other perspectives, we have distinguished the very characteristics of the industry,

including products and markets, and identified the industry size and growth on the
basis of historical information and future projections. Then Porter's five forces
theory has been applied to the industry structure to better understand the barriers
to entry, potential entrants, threat from the substitute products, bargaining power
of the suppliers as well as of customers; also current success factors have been
explored here. We have also included the diversification of telecommunication
industries and finally end up with some of the recommendations.
