Description:
Although globalization is an overwhelming concept, it is experienced by people in a number of ways in
real terms. For instance, globalization of technology improved modern transportation and
communication. As a result, people have become more mobile and are able to reach different places
around the globe. There are various reasons why people leave their country of origin. Through this
activity, you should be able to gain first-hand knowledge of the experiences of Overseas Filipino
Workers (OFWs), people who reached other countries. Their stories could provide a concrete
understanding of how globalization affects themselves, their families, and the country.

Instruction:
1. Find a former or a current Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) to be interviewed. The respondent's
name may be revealed. The instructor ensures to protect the person’s identity.
2. Use the following guide questions (you may add additional questions):
a. How long have you stayed abroad?
b. What are the purposes for your stay there?
c. What were your most unforgettable experiences there? How will you describe them, good or
bad?
d. How will you compare the Philippines with other countries?
e. Do you want to go back abroad or to other countries in the future? Why or why not?
3. Write your insights about your respondent's experience.
Guidelines:
o One Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) only, former or current.
o Aside from the sample questions, you may include additional ones that you deemed significant
and relevant.
o Do not engage in a face-to-face interview. You can interview the person on Messenger or any
online platform.

constructed and have varied structure and length. The writer makes no errors in 10%
grammar, mechanics, and/or spelling.
