Instructions

CROCHET HATS

Rnd 1: Ch 2; 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook; join with a sl st in


first sc.

Knit & Crochet Preemie Rnd 2: Ch 3, 3 (2) dc in first sc, [4 (3) dc in next sc] 5
times; join with a sl st in top of ch-3 – 24 (18) sts.

Hats Rnd 3: Ch 1, 2 sc in each st around; join – 48 (36) sts.

Rnd 4: Ch 3, skip first sc, dc in each sc around; join in top


WR1756 of ch-3.

Rnd 5: Ch 1, sc in each st around; join.


Directions are for 3-Light Yarn; changes for
4-Medium Yarn are in parentheses. Rnds 6-17 (6-11): Repeat Rnds 4 and 5 six (three) more
times.

KNIT HATS

With smaller needles, cast on 60 (48) sts - 20 (16) sts


on each of 3 needles. Join, being careful that sts are not
twisted.

Ribbing Rnd: * K2, P2; repeat from * around.

Repeat Ribbing Rnd until 2½” from beginning. Change to


larger needles and work in St st (K every rnd) until 5” from
beginning.

Shape Top: Place a marker between the 10th and 11th


(8th and 9th) sts on each needle.

Next Rnd: [K2tog, K to marker, K2tog, K to end of needle]


3 times – 18 (14) sts on each needle.

Next Rnd: [K2tog, K to marker, K2tog, K to end of needle]


3 times – 16 (12) sts on each needle.

Next Rnd: Knit.

Repeat last 3 rnds 2 (1) more times, then rep the first 2
rnds again –4 sts on each needle.

Cut yarn leaving an 8” end. With yarn needle, weave end


through remaining sts, draw up tightly and fasten securely.

Fold ribbing in half to the right side.
