in West Bengal Police Telecommunications - 2020

NOTICE
No. WBPRB/NOTICE - 2021/8 (WOPR - 20)
Applications are invited from eligible Indian citizens having following eligibility criteria for
recruitment to the post of Wireless Operator in West Bengal Police Telecommunications -
2020.
Eligibility Criteria : -
(1) Age : - The applicant must not be less than 18 (Eighteen) years old and must not be more than
27 (Twenty Seven) years old as on 01.01.2021. The upper age limit shall be relaxed by 05
(five) years for the candidates belonging to the categories of Scheduled Castes (SC) &
Scheduled Tribes (ST) and by 03 (Three) years for the candidates belonging to the category of
Other Backward Classes (OBC).
The personnel of West Bengal Police and Kolkata Police having requisite qualifications and
age are eligible to apply for the post provided that no departmental candidates shall be
allowed to appear in the Competitive Examination more than three times.
(2) Educational Qualifications : - The applicant must have passed the Higher Secondary
Examination (10+2) conducted by West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education
(WBCHSE) or equivalent examination from any of the recognized Boards in Science with
Physics and Mathematics.
(3) Applicant should be in good mental and physical health. They should be free from any
deformity likely to interfere with efficient performance of their work.
(4) Language : - The applicant must be able to speak, read and write in Bengali language.
However, this provision will not be applicable to the persons who are permanent residents of
hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong Districts. For the applicant of hill sub-division
of Darjeeling and Kalimpong Districts, the provisions laid down in the West Bengal Official
Language Act, 1961 will be applicable.
Application Forms may be submitted through on-line during the period from 22.02.2021
(00:00 hrs.) to 22.03.2021 (5 PM).
The last date of deposit of Application and/or Processing Fees in respect of only the
applicants applying through on-line mode using Punjab National Bank (erstwhile United
Bank of India) Challan will be 24.03.2021 during banking hours due to technical reasons.
Applicants must visit the website of West Bengal Police (www.wbpolice.gov.in) to ascertain
the eligibility criteria in detail, method of selection, scheme of examination, procedure for
submission of application form and other terms & conditions.
The selection process by the West Bengal Police Recruitment Board is transparent and
purely merit-based. Hence, the applicants are advised to beware of the unscrupulous
elements, racketeers, touts who may misguide the candidates with false promises of
getting them selected for the job on illegal consideration.
