Notes:

The central theme we are considering is

THE WORD OF GOD

And it will later be simplified to different aspects

Let check Psalms 119:105

[Psa 119:105] KJV

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Okay, In one of the daily dose I wrote, that is, Light unto my path, I did justice to the Bible verse
at least to an extent, when I emphasized that the word of God is our sight, that is our eye, and a
life without the word of God can simply be referred to as been blind

Why?

Because the word of God is the means by which we as believer is influenced, led, directed, and
stirred to do things. Someone might ask that scripture says as many as are led by the spirit but
we need to understand that, the Spirit is a product or better put a promise of the word, so
before you can have the spirit you need to have the word. The spirit itself act on the
3dimensions of the word

So what are the dimensions?

The written word of God

The Spoke word of God

The person word of God or let say the personified word

 The written word of God talks about what was written afore time about us, or about what
was done for us

 The spoke word talks about the prophecy about us, Apostle Paul told Timothy now, about
the prophecy that has gone ahead of him, Jesus himself was on earth to fulfill the prophecy,
the spoke words about him by the prophets. Heb 10:7, Matthew 1:22, Luke also talked
about that

 Then the person of the word, that is the incarnated Christ

So the word of God is the means by which God makes himself known, by which he declares His
will and bring about his purpose, It is the primary means by which God is present and working
in the world. By that I mean this

God himself is not part, or lemme say dwelling in this world, be it or earth or in heaven, we
know he dwell in approachable light, as Paul told Timothy, But God act in the world even from
the beginning by means of his word. He becomes personally known through his word

Let check

[1Sa 3:21] KJV

And the LORD appeared again in Shiloh: for the LORD revealed himself to Samuel in Shiloh by
the word of the LORD.

So revelation of God is by and in his word

[Heb 1:1] KJV

God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the
prophets,

:2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things,
by whom also he made the worlds;

That is His means of communication

[1Sa 15:10] KJV

Then came the word of the LORD unto Samuel, saying...

That is just to lay a foundation

Let check what The written Word of God means

Many a believer's believe is that once the word of God is mention, you are referring to the Bible,
We all believe bible is the word of God

Let check these words:

Written

Word

We might not check God, since we all have background knowledge about him and it will take
more of our time to do that now

English dictionary defines written as "systematically collected and written down"

Example:

- written laws

Which means, written does not necessarily means the writer own the word or idea or concept,
Anybody can do the writing, whether for self by self, or for others by self

Let check how Bible used it

The word written appears in 291 places in the Bible and in 282 verses, And it has almost the
same meaning throughout the entire bible

It is the word

Greek: γράφω

Transliteration: graphō
Pronunciation: graf'-o

Definition: A primary verb; to grave especially to write; figuratively to describe: - describe write
(-ing -ten).

KJV Usage: write (206x), writing (1x), describe (1x), vr write (1x).

It used to keep record, pass message, write things,

It is used in

[Rom 1:17] KJV

For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just
shall live by faith.

Making reference to a document, a writing kept for record purpose

[Rom 15:15] KJV

Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly unto you in some sort, as putting you in
mind, because of the grace that is given to me of God,

To pass information or knowledge, when brother wanted to cure the ignorance of the
Corinthians, he wrote to them, he passed information in his writings, 1cor 12:1

So knowledge can be passed verbally or by writing

Word as defined is "a unit of language that native speakers can identify"

So word involves communication, While passing a word you must be able to communicate

Biblically, or let say in New Testament we have 2 words used for Word

We have Logos and Rhema

Logos means "the expression of thought," not the mere name of an object

[Heb 4:12] KJV

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing
even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner
of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Original: λόγος

Transliteration: logos

Phonetic: log'-os

Thayer Definition:

of speech

a word, uttered by a living voice, embodies a conception or idea

Before I say this

Let check the other word

Rhema denotes "that which is spoken, what is uttered in speech or writing;"

[2Co 12:4] KJV

How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words , which it is not lawful
for a man to utter.

You must know this, Logos refers to The person word, That is the son of God

Rhema means the word spoken, logos talks about Christ in person, a though pattern

So Rhema reveals the Logos

Let now check something to answer out the question we asked, on whether bible is the word of
God.

Is Bible the Word of God?

[John 1:1] KJV

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The word used there means logos, So in the beginning was Logos, the word, (that is the name
of Jesus before incarnation) 1john explains that

[1Jn 5:7] KJV

For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and
these three are one.

The word here is Logos, that is the incarnated Christ

So in the beginning was logos, and the logos was with God and God was the logos

Saying bible is the word of God, is just like saying

In the beginning was bible and the Bible was with God and God was the Bible ?

So logos is a name given to the divine or pre existence nature of Christ, when talking about the
written word of God, it is talking about the writing, the documentation of the spoke and person
word of God, to know the Spoke words ahead of time, check the writing, to know the person of
the word, check the writing, it document everything that man will ever need about God

The writing was done by the prophets and the apostles, Writing of the prophet was inspired by
God

[2Ti 3:16] KJV

All scripture is given by inspiration of God

The word inspiration does not necessarily means, God do the saying and they write, maybe God
is doing dictation, and they are writing as we do in primary schools, smiles, that on the lighter
mood.
The written was inspired, that is the documentation, God inspired them to document it, and it
has purpose

[1Co 10:11] BBE

Now these things were done as an example; and were put down in writing for our teaching, on
whom the last days have come.

[Rom 15:4] KJV

For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through
patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

We should know and have a rooted understanding about this:

The written word of God, is a given to us, it is inspired by God to direct us and help us know the
truth. Main reason why the the Apostles in the epistle communicates better the written, that is
they unveil or reveal what has been written, 'it is not a new revelation', it is a knowing what
was hidden in the time past

[Col 1:26] KJV

Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made
manifest to his saints:

27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the
Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

[Mat 13:11] KJV

He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the
kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

It was in the past, but the revelation was not, so written word of God was revealed more by the
appearance of the person of the word
So, the word of God is a means of communication by God to us

Are you waiting on God before you act on a step?

Act on the written word of God

It contains what God has done in and for you, It contains the ability in the you, It documents
what has been purchased for you

So you don't have problem of hearing from God or acting on the will of God, the only challenge
is acting, act on what the written word says about you

Pastor Peter Ayo Alabi said

‘We must learn to act on the written word of God, even without feeling anything, or saying
anything or even hearing and angel talks to us’

The written word of God says it, therefore I do it, Because the word always works

The written word of God, introduce us to Christ, tell us about Christ, before, during and after his
incarnation, all we are looking for is embedded in it

Wish to take us through 2timothy 3:15-17

But time will not permit

I believe we are blessed already, by this word of God.

Glory.
Series 2: By JOHN Damilare

THE PERSON WORD OF GOD

We will be considering the person of the word today, the word of God is a person

John 1:1-3

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 The same was in the beginning with God.

3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

This text talks more of a person than a writing, and the person is the person of Christ.

2 Peter 1:20

Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

You see that there is only one exegesis to the scriptures, that is Christ, he is the explanation of
the scriptures. There is no understanding of the scripture outside the person of Christ

John 5:38-39

And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not.

39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which
testify of me.

Jesus explicitly stated here that the scriptures testify of Him

So the understanding of the scripture is too see everything in the light of what Christ has done,
Christ is the message of the scripture. There is no understanding to the scripture outside the
person of Christ, so a believer must know everything is talking about Christ, and we could see
that in the epistle, they are explaining the events that has taken place after the resurrection of
Christ.
Some examples are used in the epistles, like example of the faith of Abraham that he was not
weak in faith as a type of the faith of a believer, Peter also used the example of Noah that
eight souls were saved from the water, another example we can see in the epistle is paul using
the example for Galatians, talking about Haggai, Sarah, Ishmael and Issac to distinguish
between the old and new covenant, calling one the child of promise. So scripture talks about
Christ

John 3:14-15

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be
lifted up:

15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

Also Ark of Noah is a type of Christ, which if any man enters will be saved, and Christ called
himself the door by which everyman is saved. So what everyman must look to on every pages
of the scripture is Christ.

So the epistle is the explanation of the things we had in old testament which is the scripture,
they are not new writings, they are just things founded upon the scriptures, Jesus Christ said
everything written about him in the law, psalm and prophets but be fulfilled and he has
fulfilled it, so he is the fulfillment of the law, psalm and prophets.

Let me add this, the scripture is divided into five, the Old testament, four Gospel, Acts of
Apostles, Epistle and Revelation, now the old testament tells us the history of the nation of
Israel, the creation and how the people of Israel did, the four gospel shows us the lifelessly life
account of Jesus, where the apostles show us the history of the church and the epistle is
actually the explanation of the whole bible so therefore new testament believer lives in the
epistle, cos epistle explains what we have in those books and you must give yourself to much
study of the epistle.

No understanding of the new testament without the Epistle, all those former writings are
relevant but they are encoded, but the epistle decode those writings, when talking about
epistle, am making reference to from Romans to Jude and Revelations is also understood in
the light of the Epistle. So Christ remains the exegesis of God that is the explanation of
everything you need to know about God

Heb 1:3

Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding
all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the
right hand of the Majesty on high;

John 1:18

No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the
Father, he hath declared him.

Understanding Christ, seeing Christ is the key to understanding the Scriptures because he is
the person of the word, he is the word of life. Jesus is the living word, the bible is the written
word, the written word is given to us to understand the living word. Now note, the word bible
is not in the scripture, it was later given by those who translated the bible, it is from the greek
word Biblio which means library of 66books. You can only find scripture and the
epistles(letters) in the bible, when talking about scripture, that is old testament is Genesis to
Malachi. The written word is meant to introduce us to the written word

Let me end up with this:

HOW DO I SEE CHRIST IN EVERYTHING?

It is not actually the whole effect that happens in old testament that points to Christ, you have
to be very careful with that, though all scriptures are written by God. Those times the Holy
Spirit only comes on those men for a while to do that assignment and after some time it
leaves them. So their are some things what are written outside of inspiration, they are written
while the Holy Spirit is not upon them, so you must be very careful when making some
doctrinal statements. All is still the person of Christ and must be understood in him. If I can’t
understand the person of Christ outside the written word, then what must I do?

 You sit down with the written word and study it,

2 Tim 2:15

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word of truth.

You have to give yourself to diligent study of the scripture, study it in context, in content and
in concern of the writer

‘what the bible does not mean when it was written, it will not mean it now’

Rev’d Tony Cooke

So don’t try to twist the scripture to your own understanding. Read and meditate

1 Tim 4:15

Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to
all.

 You must listen to human teacher, if the want the written word to point to living word.
Their are people that have tasted this things better far more than you.

Pastor Fred Price said there are two ways to learn: 1. Learning by experience, this is a
long way to learn and it is not good, and 2. Listen to a teacher, which is the best.

So you must follow men that are following Christ, who have taught doctrine of Christ and they
have been able to clearly explain the person of the word so that you wouldn’t be a victim of
the mistakes they have made in the past.

So the person of the word is reveal to us and we see it as we study and as we hear the
teaching and the preaching of the word of faith. Listening to others does not mean you would
not do your own study, it goes hand in hand.

Remain blessed.

THE SPOKEN WORD

I have learnt and been instructed greatly on what had been said and taught by my two
pastors who spoke before me and I honour that great job.

But permit me to say this:

The spoken word of a man must have emerged from his thoughts or processed by his
mind

OUTLINE

+ Understanding God

+ What is God's spoken word?

+ How do I know God's spoken word?

We shall exhaustively look at the following topical issues.

Be blessed as we learn together

Hebrews 2

1 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard,
lest at any time we should let them slip.

“Repetition in this kingdom is not a lack of growth, it shows how much you have grown
and mastered the basics. When you grow in faith and ministry, all you do is repeat
yourself and what you have learnt from God's word to assure your faith”

Rev. Kenneth E. Hagin

GOD REVEALED IN CHRIST AND GOD CONCEALED IN THE PORTIONS OF PROPHESIES

Someone said God corrects me by sickness!

Really? Even Isaiah had a better revelation of this.

Hear from his lips :

Isaiah 53:

4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him
stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the
chastisement of our peace was upon him; and WITH HIS STRIPES WE ARE HEALED.

Jesus' earthly ministry was filled with healing and miracles.

If God corrected men with sickness that will mean that Jesus is undoing the correction of
God right?

Nope!

1 John 3:

8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from thebeginning. For this
purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Sickness is the foul offspring of its father devil and the mother sin!

Jesus came to end their activities and show God's goodness by His loving nature in all he
does. God has been good from the Genesis of the world. He did not repent when Christ
became flesh in the four gospels, nope!
Someone said, God can kill also?

He killed Pharaoh, destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, what about Uzzah?

God did not kill any of them.

A proper study of God from Jesus will make us appreciate God as a loving father. Christ
did not take a single life in the four gospels and so, God will not.

The only life God ever "took" and accepted was that of Christ and he did that for us, so
why will he requires to take the life of a man in death again?

One of the most controversial issues is that God can do evil and good as recorded by
Isaiah the prophet. He can destroy and build and all as shown in the judgment of Elijah.

What did Christ say of these?

John 8:

44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a
murderer from the beginning (Genesis) , and abode not in the truth, because there is no
truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the
father of it.

It was in the revelation of Jesus that we first saw that scattered in the events of the old
testament were not all acts and doings of God.

The devil moved men and through them to do something's which we ignorantly ascribed
to God. Some of them were revealed here which are murder, lies and in shirt every evil
work. No wonder Jesus corrected his disciples in
Luke 9:

51 And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he
stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem,

52 And sent messengers before his face: and they went, and entered into a
village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him.

53 And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to
Jerusalem.

54 And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we
command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did? (The
disciples were instructing him to learn from Elijah and act like him but he told them that
Elijah is supposed to learn from him and he showed them what ought to be)

55 But he (JESUS) turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what MANNER OF
SPIRIT YE ARE OF (THE SPIRIT OF GOD DOESN'T KILL) .

56 For the SON OF MAN (JESUS) IS NOT COME TO DESTROY MEN'S LIVES, BUT TO
SAVE THEM. And they went to another village.

Jesus made us know in the four gospel that he came on an assignment to the God's work
and finish it.

John 4:

34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him (GOD) that sent me, and to
finish his work.

He declared his vision in Luke 4 and removed what he did not come to do there.
He quoted from Isaiah 61.

Isaiah 61

1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach
good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim
liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and [the day of vengeance of our God;
to comfort all that mourn;] (the brackets were emphasized by me).

Luke 4:

18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel
to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the
captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

Did you see that?

He honoured his calling and corrected Isiah's revelation of his mission. He came to save
not destroy again.

John has this to say:

John 1:

18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of
the Father, he hath declared(revealed) him.
That's seems like a nice testimony but we can not accept that based on one scriptural
evidence. Jesus himself has this to say:

John 6:

46 Not that any man (not even Adam, Abraham, Moses, Elijah, David or Isaiah)hath seen
the Father, save he (Jesus) which is of God, he (Jesus) hath seen the Father.

In the mouth of two or three witnesses, let every word be established.

We already have two, let's look into the third and the final one.

The write of Hebrews bore a powerful testimony of Jesus' revelation of God as being
supreme.

Hebrews 1

1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers
by the prophets,

2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by (the originals read in) his Son, whom he
hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

3 Who (Christ) being the brightness of his glory, and the EXPRESS IMAGE OF HIS (GOD'S)
PERSON, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself
purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

That's powerful and clear

The writer of Hebrews said CHRIST IS THE MIRROR OF GOD, GOD CAN NOT BE DEFINED
OUTSIDE OF CHRIST. HE IS THE EXPRESS IMAGE OF GOD'S NATURE AND PERSON. SO, WE
CAN JUDGE THE PROPHETS BY THE REVELATION OF GOD THAT IS FOUND IN CHRIST (HIS
EARTHLY MINISTRY AND HIS WORK IN US TODAY AS REVEALED BY THE SPIRIT IN THE
EPISTLES)

It is worthy of note that God has never been seen by any man since the creation account
in the book of Genesis. The Bible's recorded "God came in the cool of the day to
fellowship with Adam and Eve in the garden" but it was not his physical being. Although
God spoke to Abraham like a man to His friend yet, he did not see him!

Moses requested for the face of God and he did recorded in his own account of Exodus
that "no man can see his face and live".

So, we will journey through what prophets and see that nobody had an express
revelation of God but they only spoke in parts and concealed the nature of God to the
best of their understanding.

So, Jesus' revelation of God is supreme to any prophet's

I looked close into two scriptures which I will share briefly with no exegesis this morning
and I got an inspiration by the Holy Spirit which nailed it by grace.

I was in church this week and someone asked a good question after we had learnt from
the Sunday school which taught us about ATONEMENT : HOW GOD JUSTIFIED HIS
MERCY AND JUDGEMENT BY SENDING CHRIST.

The man rose up and asked:

WHY THEN DOES GOD STILL KILL PEOPLE IN THE BIBLE AND EVEN NOW FOR DOING
WRONGS

I had sound folks tried their best to do what is called "Theodicy" in theology which is a
simple defence of God and his nature which is justified by His acts in Christ as recorded
in the bible but they couldn't drive home the point.
BACK TO THE BASICS

THE GOOD GOD IN THE EVIL WORLD

Every believer should be taught God's word upon salvation, God can do all things but
will not do all things, for instance HE CAN'T DO EVIL BECAUSE HE DOESN'T HAVE THAT
ABILITY

That is part of the problems we have when we engage the usage of Yoruba appellations
for God. They should learn GOD AS FATHER, that's why I am very skeptical about all
these Yoruba appellations for God now. We might end up eulogizing the devil and create
such scenarios in men

James 1:

12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive
the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be
tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished,
bringeth forth death.

16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.

17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the
Father of lights, with whom is NO VARIABLENESS, neither shadow of turning.

18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of
firstfruits of his creatures.
Why won't a believer now think God is waiting for him to sin and remove their name
from the lamb's book of life and then throw them in hell.

I was teaching someone that God is a father and she told me then God must be a wicked
person. I asked why, she said her father is wicked, then I began explaining how good he
is. Since then, I have sworn never to even use Yoruba appellation for God nor call him
father without adding loving or good

E. G, I was taught in secondary school that "òwo sòkòtò këmbè rebi ija" is an appellation
for the devil yet we use it for God. People "err" if they don't know the scriptures which
revealed the nature of God.

The Bible contained the acts and words of God, men and the devil. For the fact that a
man of God killed in the old testament doesn't mean God did, Jesus corrected that in his
earthly ministry. No one has ever seen God but we can know and see him ONLY IN
CHRIST.

CHRIST IS THE PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE OF GOD.

VARIABLENESS MEANS CHANGE IN SIMPLE TERMS, HE'S EVER CONSTANT AND

CONSISTENT.

MANY PEOPLE HAVE ASSUMED THAT GOD GREW IN THE OLD TESTAMENT AND
STOPPED BEING EVIL AFTER HE BELIEVED THE GOSPEL

That sounded illogical, GOD DOESN'T GROW ONLY MEN GROW IN OUR REVELATION OF
HIM WHICH HAS BEEN MADE AVAILABLE IN CHRIST.

The Bible called God father to us in the epistles and described him as a loving one not
like an earthly father. In short, when you want to defend God in Bible arguments please
learn to start from the known to the unknown. The end point of the Bible is to be taught
and understood. My humble summation was this that day:
I CAN NOT TRUST A GOD WILL BE GOOD TODAY AND BAD TOMORROW. ANYMAN WHO
IS NOT CONSISTENT IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE TRUSTED. I ONLY TRUST AND BELIEVE GOD
BECAUSE I HAVE SEEN HIS NATURE REVEALED IN ALL OF HIS ACTS FROM CHRIST TO
NATURE AND EVEN TO ME AS MAN. IT IS TOO LATE TO SAY THAT "GOOD IS GOOD ALL
THE TIME" IS A CHURCH SLANG BUT AN ABSOLUTE REALITY OF EVERY MAN EVEN AN
UNBELIEVER.

John 8:

44 Ye are of YOUR FATHER the devil, and the LUSTS of YOUR FATHER ye will do. He was a
MURDERER FROM THE BEGINNING, and ABODE not in THE TRUTH, because there is no
truth in him. When HE SPEAKETH a LIE, he speaketh of his own: for HE IS a LIAR,
and THE FATHER of IT.

If we can agree that God kills (a professional assassin), then if I kill as a believer, I
shouldn't be charged to court because I just brought out what has worked in me at
Salvation- the killing spirit- and should not be tried for doing that all. This simple answer
here made more sense to them than all that had been said and I saw how everybody
related with the point. The devil and his acts weird concealed in the Old Testament and
Christ came to unmask him and showed us the man at work in even our highly
reverenced prophets of the old testament for those actions as been the devil.

If God truly gave us his spirit as our DNA and that was recorded as being good in the
consistency and progression of the scriptures, then we should have a good nature and
spirit except mutation has occurred which can't!

WHAT IS GOD'S SPOKEN WORD?

John 1

1 In the beginning was the WORD, and the WORD was with God, and the WORD was
God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.

The word in the context above is a Greek word which means thought pattern.

That means, the word was in God as a thought of his nature which gives meaning to life
because he originates it before the world began in Genesis and was spoken into
existence (in incarnation) in the four gospels. So, to knowing what the spoken word of
God is today, is to look at the thought of God as revealed in Christ.

John said yesterday:

‘Christ is the exegesis of all the scriptures’

I will rephrase it to fit my context by saying:

Christ is the spoken, living and written word of God, anything outside him is an heresy

Christ is the spoken word and how do we know and learn the spoken word?

BY SEEING THE WRITTEN WORD

In summary:

THE SPOKEN WORD IS THE LIVING WORD THAT WAS DOCUMENTED IN THE WRITTEN
WORD. THE WORD IS CHRIST AND CHRIST ALONE

Remain blessed!
