Dear executive secretary ONU:

Technological development shows the constant progress towards productivity to meet their
needs, this production is a technological boom, however this brings with it negative
consequences, climate change knocked down the garbage, and toxic substances that are released
into the air and the disappearance of many species.
According to scientists specialized in the subject, if current trends of technology development
and consumerism continue the world as we know it today could disappear. Without mention that
we would suffer a crisis of hunger and misery caused by multiple diseases.
Dear United Nations Secretary General. It is necessary to talk about a sustainable development
that allows taking pertinent actions to mitigate the environmental damage caused by humans. I
suggest creating mechanisms, many strategies to save our planet that is our home and the home
of future generations. While it is true that it is individual responsibility, protecting the
environment is also true that you have greater power to make a visible change. It is in our hands
do not to be in the future a past that did not do nothing, let us be a past that tried everything.

Long time ago the environment was considered a healthy habitat for for the human race. Nowadays,
the improvement and implementation of new technologies has negatively impacted the environment
due to its influences on environmental pollution, deforestation, emergence of large cities and other
phenomena that occur have become a problem for humanity.

Pollution attacks human health, through water or air; by the decrease in crop yields.

I also consider that consumer culture is the biggest enemy of Climate change. In a society of
consumers, since the moment we are born, we go up into the scale of obtaining products for personal
satisfaction, without measuring the consequences that this brings with it: deforestation, burning of
fossil fuels, water pollution. To know what we mean, it is easy to apply a brief description of the
problem that concerns us all. Global warming is a problem of greenhouse gas accumulation in the
atmosphere that causes changes in global temperatures, causing disasters at the ecosystem and
climate level.

Technology has contributed to global warming because without it we could not function normally in
our day to day. This added to the overpopulation in urban centers, this set of small factors are aligned
to add consequences to the environment. In such a way we have air pollution, soil erosion, water
pollution, the accumulation of solid waste in large open spaces. This adds elements to the global
warming that we suffer. Not to mention that we would suffer a crisis of hunger and misery caused by
multiple diseases.

Hace mucho tiempo, el medio ambiente se consideraba un hábitat saludable para la raza humana. En
la actualidad, la mejora e implementación de nuevas tecnologías ha impactado negativamente al
medio ambiente debido a sus influencias en la contaminación ambiental, la deforestación, el
surgimiento de grandes ciudades y otros fenómenos que ocurren se han convertido en un problema
para la humanidad.

La contaminación ataca la salud humana, a través del agua o el aire; por la disminución de los
rendimientos de los cultivos.

También considero que la cultura de consumo es el mayor enemigo del cambio climático. En una
sociedad de consumidores, desde que nacemos, subimos en la escala de obtener productos para la
satisfacción personal, sin medir las consecuencias que esto trae consigo: deforestación, quema de
combustibles fósiles, contaminación del agua. Para saber a qué nos referimos, es fácil aplicar una
breve descripción del problema que nos concierne a todos. El calentamiento global es un problema de
acumulación de gases de efecto invernadero en la atmósfera que provoca cambios en las
temperaturas globales, provocando desastres a nivel de ecosistemas y clima.

La tecnología ha contribuido al calentamiento global porque sin ella no podríamos funcionar con
normalidad en nuestro día a día. Esto sumado a la superpoblación en los centros urbanos, este
conjunto de pequeños factores se alinean para agregar consecuencias al medio ambiente. De tal
manera tenemos la contaminación del aire, la erosión del suelo, la contaminación del agua, la
acumulación de desechos sólidos en grandes espacios abiertos. Esto suma elementos al calentamiento
global que sufrimos. Sin mencionar que sufriríamos una crisis de hambre y miseria provocada por
múltiples enfermedades.

Estimado Secretario General de las Naciones Unidas. Es necesario hablar de un desarrollo sustentable
que permita tomar las acciones pertinentes para mitigar el daño ambiental causado por el ser
humano. Sugiero crear mecanismos, muchas estrategias para salvar nuestro planeta que es nuestro
hogar y el hogar de las generaciones futuras. Si bien es cierto que es responsabilidad individual,
proteger el medio ambiente también es cierto que tienes mayor poder para hacer un cambio visible.
Está en nuestras manos no ser en el futuro un pasado que no hizo nada, seamos un pasado que lo
intentó todo.

Son muchos los beneficios que se obtienen si cuidamos nuestro medio ambiente como: ahorrar
energía, reducir la contaminación del aire,  reduce el crecimiento del agujero de la capa de ozono,
evita la extinción de animales, ampliando el habitad de estos; así podremos vivir en un ambiente
limpio y sano.
