Core Subject Description: This course aims to engage students in appreciation and critical study of 21st Century Literature from the Philippines and the world encompassing their

Culminating Performance Standard: The learner will be able to demonstrate understanding and appreciation of 21st Century Philippine and World Literature through an adaptation
of a text into other creative forms using multimedia.

Performance Task: The LEAP or Literature Educators Association of the Philippines Inc. has organized a competition with the theme: “Literary Adaptations: A way to Understanding the Role
of Literary Analysis to the Appreciation of Early Literary Texts from Different Regions”. The goal of the organization is to promote literature, through adaptations and literary analysis with the
use of multimedia. The organization has approved your proposal to participate in the said competition. A Philippine literary text required for the said competition must highlight values
essential for the understanding of human person and society in general. You are tasked to: 1. Make an adaptation of your chosen literary text applying Formalist Approach through Podcast
Story Telling (for online) /Audio presentation (for modular). The literary adaptation will be evaluated base on these criteria: Title and introduction, Character, Setting, Plot/ Conflict, Conclusion
and Style; while the podcast/audio presentation will be evaluated based on these following criteria: Sound quality, Overall Content, Narration and Storytelling.
