Online Learning
The current pandemic condition greatly affects all aspects of life, one of which
is education. Starting from elementary school level to college, an online system
or online learning applies. This online learning raises various pros and cons.
However, there is a discourse that schools will reopen in January 2021.
However, the positive number of Covid-19, which is increasing every day, of
course makes us even less aware of when this pandemic is over, and offline
learning is getting delayed.
Online learning of course has many problems, not only insufficient signals and
devices. However, there are many other things out there that make online
learning arguably less effective. Maybe for urban communities something like
this was very natural to do before a pandemic like this. However, this is not the
case for people who live in areas where conditions do not allow for online
learning. In addition, there are also many problems with online learning in
cities, namely insufficient internet quota and others. Such conditions become a
separate consideration if online learning continues, because all existing facilities
are uneven and there are very striking disparities from one region to another.
On the other hand, online learning is very profitable and safe during a pandemic
like now, because schools are moved at home so there is no need to leave the
house to reduce transmission of COVID-19 and instead use gasoline money to
buy internet quotas. In addition, when students are more at home, the time to
study their talents and interests is more than face-to-face learning which only
pursues curriculum graduation standards.
But in the end, offline schooling can only be done if the situation in our country
improves, or zero case. As the cases are still increasing lately, online schools
are the best choice to avoid new cases. And we must be disciplined in
implementing health protocols so that this case ends quickly
