EE CIRCUIT I

SESSION TOPIC 1: BASIC DIRECT CURRENT CIRCUIT COMPONENT

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the session you will:

1. Understand the nature of electricity.
2. Demonstrate the requirements of electrical circuit that works.
3. Interpret the color code in terms of value and tolerance

KEY TERMS
Electrical Circuit Voltage Resistance Ammeter
Cell Current Voltmeter Ohmmeter

CORE CONTENT

SESSION SUMMARY

 Electrical circuit requires cell, switch, wire and resistance

 The cell is pushing up the current to goes around the circuit.
 The switch is used to closed the path for the current to continuously flows around the
metal path
 The voltmeter is used to measure the voltage
 The ammeter is used to measure the current
 The ohmmeter is used to measure the resistance.
 Color coding is a tool to determine the value and tolerance of resistor without using
an ohmmeter.
