Dear John,

How is it going? I hope you are doing well. I’m writing to tell you about a pet I have just

You know, last month, I received a dog as a birthday gift from my friend living in Russia.
I named him Xam because he has grey fur. He is tall with blue eyes. In particular, he is
not only friendly but also active. He loves sleeping, playing with me, and eating. Ky is
both loyal and helpful. He always welcomes me when I come back home. Also, he helps
me to keep the house when I travel.

How about you? Do you have a pet and can you share about your pet?

It is time to go. Write to me soon, my dear

Best wishes,

Write a letter to ask about a plan to travel and tell your job.
Task 2: Online learning is better than classroom learning. Do you agree?
There has been a controversial issue about whether online learning is better than
classroom learning or not. Both views will be discussed and my opinion will be presented
in this essay.
On the one hand, learning on the Internet is approved by a majority of people. First of all,
it can help people save a great deal of money. Online classes could save various kinds of
fees to run the physical classes such as space, staff, and equipment; therefore, this allows
online course providers to accommodate a huge number of students in an online class.
Secondly, online classes can help human beings can study anywhere and anytime. Thus,
it is very convenient, especially for some people living in rural areas. For example,
people can sign up for an English course in the USA and study when they are in Vietnam.
On the other hand, I am among those who support that classroom learning has still played
a vital role. First, this trend would boost interaction among students. If students study in a
classroom, they can talk and help one another. For instance, some students majoring in
English can practice English together in a classroom. Besides, some features of physical
classrooms cannot be replaced. For example, direct activities in a physical classroom
allow students to improve their skills like communication and teamwork skills. In
contrast, it is too difficult to practice those skills in an online class in which two-way
interaction is not often.
To sum up, there are opposing arguments about online learning. I support classroom
learning can outweigh online learning because it is more appropriate to my situation.
Traffic jams are a popular problem in big cities. Building sky trains can help solve this
problem.
In the era of globalization, more and more people tend to concern about traffic jams. As
the world's population rises, as well as vehicles, are becoming easier to afford, traffic
jams have become a worldwide issue. In this situation, many individuals hold a firm
belief that building sky trains can help solve this problem. Both views and my opinion
will be clarified in this essay.
On the one hand, building sky trains will bring a variety of great benefits to tackle traffic
congestions. Firstly, with the appearance of sky trains as a kind of mass transit that can
accommodate hundreds of people thanks to its large capacity, the number of private
vehicles on the streets will be declined. Secondly, it can assist human beings to save a
great deal of time and prevent them from being stuck in traffic jams. For example, people
may regularly suffer from being late for work when encountering traffic jams on the
streets. Thus, they do not want to buy or continue using private vehicles when realizing
the benefits of traveling by sky trains.
On the other hand, this trend also brings several drawbacks. Firstly, tickets for a sky train
may be costly due to its expenses for operating high working productivity. Hence, people
with low incomes who can not afford tend to use their vehicles. Also, people using sky
trains may feel not as comfortable as traveling by their car or motorbike. For instance,
they cannot stop, reduce, and increase the speed whenever they want.
To sum up, there are several opposing arguments about constructing sky trains to tackle
traffic jams. From my perspective, I support the idea of building sky trains since it is
appropriate for my situation.
Giving birth late
These days, giving birth late tends to be more and more popular in our modern society.
However, I strongly believe that this trend would bring both benefits and drawbacks.
On the one hand, we can take huge advantages of giving birth late. Firstly, by having
children late in life, people can have more time to focus on their careers. Therefore, they
tend to have a stable financial background to manage a better life for their children,
including high-quality education and better healthcare services. Secondly, it is an
effective way to raise children more efficiently. For example, the older people are, the
more experience they gain. This may give them greater experience in nurturing a well-
rounded child while young couples, who have bad parenting skills could have adverse
impacts on children.
On the other hand, there are several disadvantages to having children late in life. First of
all, should people give birth when they are too old, the babies being born might be at a
high risk of being less physically healthy. This might adversely impact the quality of the
future workforce if too many people decide to follow this tendency. Second, this trend
may bring about some negative effects on family life as well as society. In fact, having
children later will cause a significant age gap between the two generations. For instance,
the bigger the age gap between children and parents is the more differences in opinion,
lifestyle, and fashion they have. Thus, they find it very difficult to understand one
another.
To sum up, there are both benefits and drawbacks to giving birth late in life. I hold a firm
belief that human beings had better learn how to maximize the advantages as well as
minimize the disadvantages.
