Specifications for Environment test chamber with temperature and humidity control

1. Stainless steel interior (chambers) and exterior
a) Internal chamber volume : 250 l or larger
b) Number of grids – 1; with a provision to attached 5 additional grids in future
c) Door – stainless steel – with provision of condensation prevention mechanism such as
heating
2. Temperature
a) Temperature resolution: lower than 0.5 °C
b) Temperature range, when humidity is not being controlled: -40 °C to 180 °C
c) Temperature range, when humidity is being controlled: 10 °C to 95 °C
d) Spatial variation of temperature inside chamber: maximum of ± 2 °C
e) Minimum two sensors for temperature measurement
f) 3 point calibration
3. Humidity
a) Humidification and dehumidification – both should be controlled
b) Humidity range : 10-98 % RH
c) RH set point control: 1 %
d) Condensate collection mechanism
e) Compressor-refrigeration systems should be environment friendly and with chlorine-free
refrigerant
4. Control of humidity/temperature
a) Given that temperature and humidity have to be controlled simultaneously, provide the
overall chart of achievable envelope such that
 10% RH should be possible at 45 °C or lower
 95% RH should be possible at 15 °C or lower
 at 20 °C, 40% RH or lower should be possible
b) Microprocessor based control
 programmable profiles for both humidity and temperature
 10 ramps or higher number
c) 3 point calibration
d) Storage of data for 6 months or more
