printed in your registration forms.
• During Synchronous classes, MUTE your audio but switch your VIDEOS ON. Only unmute
your audios should there be questions or clarifications you wish to raise.
• No one is allowed to display that he/she is eating during the synchronous class.
• Drinking is allowed as long as it is not alcoholic.
• Use phone stand, solid background, and earphones/headset as available.
• Uploading of Modules and other learning materials on Canvas will be every Fridays

COURSE TITLE: Entrepreneurship

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course is designed to familiarize the students with the basic concepts, principles,
and processes related to business organization, and the functional areas of management.
Particular emphasis will be given to the study of management functions like planning, organizing,
leading, and controlling, and orient the students on the importance of these functions and the
role of each area in entrepreneurship.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the course, the students should be able to:

1. articulate and demonstrate the different managerial roles and skills, and the levels and
areas of management;
2. categorize and recognize the need for planning and its relevance to decision making;
3. design, administer, and evaluate the organizational structure;
4. identify, interpret, and explain the personal characteristics of an effective leader;
5. classify, differentiate, and recommend the essentials of motivation and communication in
an organization; and
6. create, illustrate, and assess the importance of organizational control.
