terprise asset management nance (PM) and Customer Service (CS) and for networks from Project System (PS).
You can also perform capacity planning (such as capacity leveling) for these types of
demand in SAP Multiresource Scheduling.

Integration with SAP CRM You can use this integration scenario to plan resources for service orders from SAP

Key Feature Use

Scheduler Workplace (SAP GUI) The Scheduler Workplace provides easy access to all planning-relevant resource and
demand data. The resource planning layout of the Scheduler Workplace includes the
following areas:

● Resource Gantt chart showing the current planning situation, including resource
assignments and time allocations
● Demand worklists showing the demands for which you, as the resource planner,
are responsible
● Alert Monitor showing information, warning, and error messages that arise due
to the current planning situation

The demand planning layout of the Scheduler Workplace includes the following
areas:

● Demand Gantt chart showing the demands for which you, as the resource plan
ner, are responsible
● Capacity View
● Dispatching View

You can customize the layout of the Scheduler Workplace according to your require
ments. For example, you can hide areas and functions that are not relevant for you.

Web-based planning board As an alternative to the Scheduler Workplace (SAP GUI), you can use the Web-based
planning board for resource and demand planning. The following standard views are
available:

● Resource view, including a resource Gantt chart and screen areas for a demand
list and alerts
● Demand view, including a demand Gantt chart and screen areas for a demand
list and alerts
● List view for table-based resource planning, including screen areas for resour
ces, assignments, demands, and alerts
● Staffing view for a table-based staffing overview and table-based resource plan
ning

You can configure these views according to your requirements. For example, you can
hide areas and functions that are not relevant for you.

Finding suitable resources and de You have various options to search for employees with specific qualifications. You can
mands search for suitable employees for a specific demand, or you can search for employ
ees with a specific set of qualifications without any reference to a demand. You can
also search for suitable demands for any employee within a period of your choice.

Integration of maps You can use this feature to integrate a map in the Scheduler Workplace (SAP GUI)
and in the Web-based planning board. This allows you to display geographic informa
tion about the current planning situation.

Feature Scope Description for SAP Multiresource Scheduling, Option for SAP S/4HANA
8 PUBLIC Key Features
Key Feature Use

Automatic scheduling of multiday You can use this feature to automatically schedule assignments that span multiple
assignments days. For certain demand types, the system creates concrete or stretched assign
ments for suitable resources. These resources can be personnel resources, N.N. re
sources, or teams. In addition, the system can take the availability of technical ob
jects into account as well as travel and processing times during the automatic assign
ment creation.

Optimizer You can use the Optimizer to ensure that your personnel resources are used effi
ciently and effectively when they are planned in SAP Multiresource Scheduling.

You can trigger the optimization process manually or you can schedule regular batch
jobs to have the system optimize your planning.

Resource planning for orders and You can use this feature to allocate suitable resources to order operations and notifi
notifications from Plant Mainte cations from Plant Maintenance and Customer Service.
nance (PM) and Customer Service
The process starts in SAP S/4HANA with a requester creating a notification or order
(CS)
that is relevant for resource planning. The system then transfers all relevant data to
SAP Multiresource Scheduling and automatically creates a demand for each order
operation or notification. Using the Scheduler Workplace (SAP GUI) or Web-based
planning board, you can then search for suitable resources based on resource availa
bility and qualifications. When you assign a resource to a demand, the relevant data
is transferred back to the SAP S/4HANA system.

Resource planning for networks You can use this feature to allocate suitable resources to network activities from
from Project System (PS) Project System (PS). If the integration is set up correctly, an additional tab page is
shown in the PS network. On this tab, the requester can make various settings that
are relevant for resource planning in SAP Multiresource Scheduling.

The process starts in SAP S/4HANA with a requester creating a network that is rele
vant for resource planning. Once the requester saves the network and its activities in
PS, the system transfers all relevant data to SAP Multiresource Scheduling. The sys
tem automatically creates a demand for each network activity that has been marked
as planning-relevant in PS. Using the Scheduler Workplace (SAP GUI) or Web-based
planning board, you can then search for suitable resources based on resource availa
bility and qualifications. When you assign a resource to a demand, the relevant data
is transferred back to the SAP S/4HANA system.

Resource planning using Web-based You can use this feature to create resource requests and allocate suitable resources
resource management (RM) to requests using Web-based resource management. You can either use the Web
Dynpro version of the application or the resource management (RM) apps.

The process starts in Web-based resource Management with a requester creating a

request with at least one role. The system creates a Project System (PS) network in
the corresponding back-end system. You can use the RM Web Dynpro version or the
RM apps for creating requests, searching for candidates, and assigning them to
projects.

Key Feature Use

Resource planning for work tickets You can use this feature to allocate suitable resources to work tickets from SAP
from SAP Cloud for Customer Cloud for Customer.

The process starts in SAP Cloud for Customer with a service agent creating a work
ticket with at least one scheduling-relevant item. Once the agent releases the item
and saves the work ticket, the system transfers the relevant data to SAP Multire
source Scheduling and creates a demand for each item. Using the Scheduler Work
place (SAP GUI) or Web-based planning board, you can search for suitable resources
based on resource availability and qualifications. When you assign a resource to the
service item, the relevant data is transferred back to the SAP Cloud for Customer
system.

Resource planning for service or You can use this feature to allocate suitable resources to service order items from
ders from SAP CRM SAP CRM.

The process starts in SAP CRM with a requester creating a service order that is rele
vant for resource planning. If the required settings are in place, the requester can use
appointment booking to schedule a service appointment. Once the requester saves
the order and its items in SAP CRM, the system transfers all relevant data to SAP
Multiresource Scheduling. The system automatically creates a demand for each rele
vant service order item. Using the Scheduler Workplace (SAP GUI) or Web-based
planning board, You can then search for suitable resources based on resource availa
bility and qualifications. When you assign a resource to the service item, the relevant
data is transferred back to the SAP CRM system.

Resource planning for project roles You can use this feature to allocate suitable resources to project roles from Portfolio
from SAP Portfolio and Project Man and Project Management.
agement for SAP S/4HANA
The process starts in Portfolio and Project Management with a requester (project
manager) creating a Project Management project that is relevant for resource plan
ning. Once the requester releases the project, the system transfers the project roles
to SAP Multiresource Scheduling and creates a demand for each role. Using the
Scheduler Workplace (SAP GUI) or Web-based planning board, you can then search
for suitable resources based on resource availability and qualifications. When you as
sign a resource to a demand, the relevant data is transferred back to the SAP Portfo
lio and Project Management for SAP S/4HANA system.

Capacity planning for demands The Scheduler Workplace (SAP GUI) and the Web-based planning board provide vari
from Plant Maintenance, Customer ous functions for demand and capacity planning. For example, you can perform ca
Service, and Project System pacity leveling to counterbalance the overload of work centers by shifting demands
to time slots with sufficient capacity. You can also display, change, and delete existing
relationships for demands, and you can create new relationships in SAP Multire
source Scheduling.

Capacity planning functions are available for demands from Plant Maintenance (PM),
Customer Service (CS), and Project System (PS).
