accidents at gas stations in China in the past 20 years have been collected from different websites, uses entropy
weight method to deal with the cause of system failure modes, obtains and sorts the risk priority number (RPN).
The type and failure cause of the most frequent accidents is the static electricity-induced explosion, and the
effective measures to alleviate and deal with the accidents are put forward. The results of the study will help
management and gas station staffs reasonably prevent gas station safety risks.
