Everyone would use smart home products if they are well integrated
with their existing appliances and work without any external setup.
ARTICULATION OF OUR
CONVICTION IN HYPOTHESIS

If a person buying a house in a township or society have an

option to directly buy a smart home integrated with all appliances
beforehand, then they will choose it over a normal house.
WHAT WE WILL TEST

We will see if shown a smart home with no additional visible smart

accessories are involved, do people use features like remote control,
parental lock, app control etc.
OUR MINIMUM FUNCTIONALITY /
MINIMUM PRODUCT

The smart home will have features like app-based control, remote
control over the internet, parental lock etc. Another key feature
will be that all existing appliances when hooked up to pre-
installed switches would work will all the mentioned smart home
features.
VIABILITY OF THE BASIC FEATURES
COVERED

Yes, it is viable. The technology required is already available and

with little R&D, integration of appliances with app and switches
can be done. With Marketing and research, we will be able to
establish contact with township builders/contractors and
equipment suppliers.
PROOF THAT OUR HYPOTHESIS IS
CORRECT

Out of all the people in the initial relevant persona group, are
impressed with the demonstrated features and would buy the
house and continue using these features, then I would be
convinced that this is something that can be brought to
mainstream in the future.
WE WILL COLLECT FOLLOWING
INFORMATION

We will see what percentage of houses having this integrated

smart home have been sold. I will follow up with them on
scheduled maintenance visits and find out key issues faced and
in what ways are they using these features. We’ll try to learn and
create experiences for future customers.
