Monocrystalline solar panels are made up of monocrystalline cells cut from a chunk of silicon which
has been grown from a single crystal. These panels are easily identifiable, made up of uniformly
stacked rounded cells.

Polycrystalline PV Solar Panels

Polycrystalline solar panels are made up of polycrystalline cells cut from a large block of many
crystals. This is what gives them that striking shattered glass appearance. Like Monocrystalline cells,
they are also then sliced into wafers to produce the individual cells that make up the solar panel.
