For calibration, the speed control levers must be set to the 0 position
(lever back completely). Make sure the encoder stay in this position till
parameterisation was done.
1. Switch OFF the power supply of the DCM Module
2. Put the DIL-switch S 3.8 to “ON” position
3. Switch ON the DCM Module
4. The LED "SF1" flashes approx. 2 seconds after being activated
5. Give 3 times a short 24V signal on the terminal 17 of the Module.
This needs to be done within 10 seconds after switching ON the DCM Card.
=>The LED ”SF1” on DCM shines during parameterisation.
Wait till the LED will turn OFF.
=>The parameterisation may take a few moments!
6. Switch OFF the power supply of the DCM Card.
7. Put the DIL-switch S 3.8 to “OFF” position
8. Switch ON the DCM Card
For calibration, the system and Copilot must be set to the "ahead" position.
Make sure the encoder stay in this position till parameterisation was done.

6. Switch OFF the power supply of the DCM Card.
7. Put the DIL-switch S 3.8 to “OFF” position
8. Switch ON the DCM Card
The lever detent position, which varies slightly for Copilots, can be stored
via the DIL switch S3.6.
The system must be operational.

CAN Jumper 8
For calibration, the system and Copilot must be set to the "ahead" position.
Make sure the encoder stay in this position till parameterisation was done.
1. Switch OFF the power supply of the DCM Card
2. Set CAN Jumper 8
3. Switch ON the DCM Card
4. Give 3 times a short 24V signal on the terminal 12c (pick-up input) of the Card.
This needs to be done within 10 seconds after switching ON the DCM Card.
=>The LED ”controller” on DCM shines during parameterisation.
Wait till the LED will turn OFF.
=>The green LED ”in service” will stay ON during the parameterisation.
=>The parameterisation may take a few moments!
6. Switch OFF the power supply of the DCM Card.
7. Remove CAN Jumper 8
8. Switch ON the DCM Card

S3.7
1. Switch OFF and then ON the power supply of the WAGO PLC
2. Give 3 times a short 24V signal on the digital input 1.7 (1A1.4 DI7, Terminal No. 8)
of the WAGO PLC.
This needs to be done within a period of 25 seconds after switching ON the
controller. The countdown begins after initial activation, and not after the
RUN LED has stopped flashing!
=>Applying all parameters takes however 3 minutes at least!
6. In order to activate all functions it is necessary to switch the controller OFF
and then ON again.
1. AFTER switching ON the Indicator, but before the “boot up” of the
indicator is finished press the button “PUSH ZERO” and keep holding
it till the LED in the front side became OFF (approx. 10 sec.). This LED is ON
during the “boot up time”. Now the indicator is in calibrating mode.
2. Adjust the ahead position.
Press the button “PUSH ZERO”, the pointer starts moving.
Keep pressed the button till the pointer nearly has reached the ahead
position.
2.1 Then adjust the exactly ahead position with several short time pressing
the button. The pointer moves step by step.
2.2. To save the adjusted ahead position press and keep pressed the button till
the pointer moves 90°.
3. Adjust the 4 mA output signal with several short time pressing the button.
(only for indicator with current output)
For saving the setting and going to the next step press and keep pressed
the button till the pointer moves 90°.

4. Adjust the 20 mA output signal with several short time pressing the button.
(only for indicator with current output)
For saving the setting and going to the next step press and keep pressed
the button till the pointer moves 90°.
5. Select the Baud rate. The LED shows the actual setting. LED OFF = 100 kBit;
LED ON = 125 kBit; (after have done the procedure described in No.4 the
Baud rate is set to 100 kBit). Press the button once to change the Baud rate to
125 kBit. For save the setting press and keep pressed the button for
2 seconds. The pointer will move 90°.
6. Select the indicator size. The LED shows the actual setting. LED OFF = 96 mm;
LED ON = 144mm; (after have done the procedure described in No.5 the
size is set to 96 mm). If necessary press the button once to change the size.
For save the setting press and keep pressed the button for 2 seconds.
• With the Potentiometer “SWP” it is possible to adjust the switch-point for the
relay contact. According to the frequency input (hysteresis +/- 5Hz).
• With the Potentiometer “AMP” it is possible to adjust the max. voltage output.
• With the Potentiometer “OFFSET” it is possible to adjust the min. voltage output.
• The adjustment potentiometer „CURRENT fine“ is only to adjust the current, it have no
effect on the adjustable output when the output is not set to current.
• With the frequency input DZ/IN (Cl.8) the frequency of the pulses is read in and will
transform in to proportional output voltage (Cl.3).
• The jumper J8 has to be set for f/U function.
• Using the DIL-Switch 1 and 2 the frequency range can be adjusted as follow
DIL 1 DIL 2 Frequency range Voltage on Cl.3
OFF OFF 0 … 127 Hz at 127 Hz = 10 V
ON OFF 0 … 255 Hz at 255 Hz = 10 V
OFF ON 0 … 511 Hz at 511 Hz = 10 V
ON ON 0 … 1023 Hz at 1023 Hz = 10 V

• With the Potentiometer “SWP” it is possible to adjust the switch-point for the relay contact.
Can be adjusted in-between 0,3 and 2,5V.
• With the Potentiometer “AMP” it is possible to adjust the max. voltage output.
• With the Potentiometer “OFFSET” it is possible to adjust the min. voltage output.
• With the digital input MF1 (Cl.1) and MF2 (Cl.5) the analogue output starts de- or increasing.
• With the digital input DZ/IN (Cl.8) the analogue output can be set to zero.
• The jumper J8 has to be removed for ramp generator function.
• Using the DIL-Switch 1 and 2 the ramp time can be adjusted as follow

Function:
The pitch indicator has a visible range
between a Voltage from +10V to -10V. To
use the full visible range of the indicator in
each Unit it is necessary to transform the
original feedback signal from the thruster to
this range.
