Endterm Performance Task

Speech Writing and Delivery

The Good Body Philippines: Bosconians Embracing Good Body Image

TED is a non-profit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful
talks. This year, YOU are invited to perform a speech about body image. Body image is the
perception of a person about their physical appearance and the thoughts and feelings that
contribute to that perception. These feelings can be positive, negative, or both. Through your
speech, TED aims to raise awareness about good body image since a lot of people struggle with
their bodies and experience body shaming.

Your speech can be persuasive, expository, or entertainment. It should also follow the proper
structure which includes the introduction, body, and conclusion. The speech must have 3
paragraphs and maximum of 500 words. Here are some topic suggestions for your speech:

• The Beauty of the Human Body

• Body and Mind: How Body Image Affects Mental Health
• An Open Letter to My Body
• An Open Letter to those who Struggle with their Body
• #ThisBody is Made to Shine
• How do Men Battle with Body Image?
• How do Women Battle with Body Image?
• My Body Story
• How to Feel Good about Your Body
• How to be Confident in your Own Body?

Speech Delivery: Maximum of 3 minutes

Deadline of Written Speech: On or before April 25, 2021 (11:59 pm)
Speech Delivery Schedule: End of April via Zoom (I’ll just follow-up the time and date of your
