Checklist for installation of firefighting system pipe work – External Hydrant

All Materials (MS Pipes, Fittings & Valves etc.) are as per approved material

submittal.  
Pipes surfaces are cleaned thoroughly using Emery paper and cotton waste to
2
remove all foreign matter before applying primer / paint.  
First coat of Approved Primer paint (2 Coat of primer) is applied on the pipe
3
surface properly.  
Paint coating of Approved paint shade (1 Coat of Paint) is applied on the pipe
4
surface properly  
5 Location / Levels / Dimensions/ pipe sizes are as per approved shop drawing.
 
6 Coordination with other related services are done.
 
7 Routing of the pipes are as per approved shop drawing.  

8 Pipes Fit-ups works completed maintaining gap 2mm to 3mm evenly.

 
Pipes welding works carried out as per the approved welding procedure

specification.  
10 Structure supports distance are maintained as per approved material submittal.
 
Check for Pressure testing of Pipes for 24 hours with Working pressure for any
11
leakage in welding joints.  
12 Applying Second coat of paint is completed properly.
 
13 Check for installation of tags, labelling, identification and direction of flow.
