PREFACE

This narrative report will give you idea to have glimpse on my wonderful experiences while
working in coffee shop and cake bakery.
The first part of this narrative report contains the vision and mission of United School of Science
and Technology (USST) and Department of Education (DepEd), and also the introduction and
safety tips about my work immersion.

The second part, composed my work place. This part contains my collection pictures in my
workplace.

Third part of this narrative report contains my daily experiences in my work immersion.

The last part, composed the difference pictures or documentation of activities.

PART I: INTRODUCTION

The importance of Work Immersion must be seen as vital point of

giving students a venue to improve themselves through experiencing
real staff first hand. It helps students to acquire knowledge and
experience that can help them grow as professional individuals. The 80-
hours work immersion integrated in the k-12 curriculum serves as
training ground for Senior High School Students as they choose to head
on to either one of the three(3) exits which are college, employment or
entrepreneurship. It aims to expose the student in the actual working
environment and hone their competencies in the different learning
areas. Also it helps in shaping their works ethics and values as they are
expected to act as professionals in their respective host training. The
work immersion is similar to on the job training (OJT) but shortened
once since it will only last for ten (10) days with eight(8) hours working
time. Students were actually trained to have a good working
relationships with their subordinates, superiors and co-trainers.

Workplace safety tips

1. Train staff to handle occupational hazards in order to avoid accidents.

2. Teach the importance of sanitation to prevent cross-contamination.
3. Train managers and staff to handle employee illness.
4. Ensure staff members know how to use equipment properly.
5. Invest in high-quality uniforms and shoes for staff.

in the market.

immersion we celebrate our

ACTIVITY DIARY
May 17, 2021
Coffee shop and cake bakery, this is the shop where we are assigned together with my
classmate to conduct our work immersion. On the first day of training we decided to go in our
cooking area, because no one will assist, after a meanwhile ma’am Alonzo will introduced us in
Café Manager.

In my first day of training I’m not feeling nervous because I know that the employees in the
shop are nice and friendly.

Our support manager assigned us in empty table. The first task of my Support Manager was
deliver the older .

On the next day we clean the shop with all our hearts to thank them by accepting us as the

WEEK1
My first week is really good starts of the journey and in motivated to do my best to perform
well and socialized other to improve myself.

My second week is very good because I learned a lot.

REFLECTION
In this working immersion I have learned a lot of experience , I’ve learned a lot that I can apply
in my daily life and even in my future work.

SUMMARY

During our Work Immersion at Coffee Shop and Cake Bakery, I was fortunate enough to have experienced and

learned. Reflecting back to my first day it was one of the most memorable days of time at work. After being

introduced to everyone , I was assigned to deliver the order of our costumers. And the next day we clean the

shop with all our hearts to thank them by accepting us, as a trainee. And the last day of first week our support

manager assigned me to stay inside the shop to assist all the costumers.During my first week is really good

starts of the journey and in motivated to do my best to perform well and socialize other.
Second week of my Immersion. In the first day of the second week , there was a seminar. The next day our

manager teach us how to prepare a gelatin salad. I was nervous, because its my first time to prepare in the

shop. On the next day is my third day of our Immersion we assigned to stay inside the shop to assist all the

costumers. It was my fourth day, in this day our support manager assigned us to buy ingredients in the market.

And the last day of our Immersion we celebrate our last day with Support Manager and Staff.
