iOS App User Manual

Introduction
 This manual explains how to use “Daikin AC Monitoring Tool ” app running on
iOS devices. For instruction of PC version software, please refer to user guide for
PC version software.
 This app supports iOS version 7 or later.
 To monitor operation data, it is necessary to use with “Wireless Adapter” (model:
BTSC/i2S). For instruction guide of BTSC/i2S, please refer to user guide of
BTSC/i2S.
 To communicate through BTSC/2S from this app, Bluetooth communication is
used. When using BTSC/2S, please keep turning on Bluetooth function of your
device.
 Support model of this app is same as PC version software.

1. Connection procedure

 5VDC power supply (USB micro B) required

1. At first, you need to switch off product to ensure your safety.


2. Second, you need to connect BTSC/i2S (Bluetooth-serial converter) with product PCB
(X-27A, CN-IF, S2, etc.) by connection harness (5-pin end)
3. Next, check your BTSC/i2S is correctly running (LED is blinking every 0.5sec)
4. Then you can start Daikin Air Conditioner Monitoring Tool App of your mobile device
5. Follow every step explained by following chapters
•S-ISO is not obligatory for products other than split air conditioners.
(5 pin socket is located in low voltage area of control PCB for other products.)

CAUTION
In case of disconnection of Bluetooth communication between BTSC/i2S and iOS device,
you need to return to main screen of App and repeat connection procedure.
(communication would not be restored automatically even if your device will enter the
range of Bluetooth connection.)
 Bluetooth connection range is approximately 5 meters

2. Installation App to your device


1. Please download and install App from App Store.
2. App starts up by tapping installed App icon.

CAUTION
If “Daikin AC Monitoring Tool” app cannot be found in App store (no corresponding App
has been registered), BTSC/i2S is not certified* in your country (or region, district) or App
has not been yet open to the public.
•Using devices without correct certification is prohibited by law, please be careful.

In the bottom of main menu, there are 3 buttons which corresponds to some
buttons of PC version software (indicated as number (1) to (3) in above picture)
There is no “Exit” button, please use home button of your device to exit from App.

1. Options: configures common settings such as number of columns of display data,


recording interval or units of measure.
2. Play : plays back recorded data by same device (import data from other devices
or PC version software is not supported by this version)
3. Recording: records operation data with Bluetooth communication

11. How to edit recorded data (add sent date/time)
In record data list, tap Edit button to enter edit mode then tap particular data to enter

Appendix. Cautions to working with multiple paired BTSC
Your paired BTSC will be listed as identical name of “BTSC” in Bluetooth settings menu of
iOS device. To connect to desired BTSC, please follow the below procedure.
Normally you can physically identify your BTSC by “serial number printed in
the back. If you have 3pcs of BTSC and would like to use all of them at the
same time with 3 iOS devices which has already paired with all of 3 BTSC,
you need to follow below procedure.

If you turned on all of BTSC at the same time


and there are 3 identical name of BTSC are
listed in “MY DEVICES”, it’s not possible to
connect desired BTSC. To connect correct
BTSC-1234 BTSC-3456 BTSC-5678 BTSC, turn off other two BTSC (in this case,
BTSC-3456 and BTSC-5678).
