Continuous and simple forms

Put students into pairs. Make sure that students understand that they should dictate the sentences
exactly, complete with the mistakes. When the dictation stage is complete, allow some time for the pairs
to spot the errors and re-formulate the sentences correctly. Feedback the errors and corrections.
 
  STUDENT A .
 
 1  Dictate these sentences to student B and write the sentences you hear. Some of your sentences are
grammatically correct and in others there are mistakes.
 
 2  Now check with your partner to see which sentences are right or wrong, grammatically. When you’ve
found the mistakes, correct them.
 
1 I’m always forgetting to bring my purse out with me.

3 She’s studied hard for her exams at the moment.

5 Are you understanding what the teacher said?
6  
7 I’ve written five emails today and I only turned the computer on a minute ago.
