IV. PROCEDURE
A. Routinary Activities 1.Prayer
-The teacher will ask the students to stand up and
pray.
2.Greetings
T: Good Morning Class
S: Good Morning Sir/Maam
3.Checking of Attendance
-The teacher will ask the secretary to stand up and
state the names of the students who are absent.

B. Motivation The Teacher will let the learners to pick a number

in the model to answer the prepared riddle. The
learner that can answer the given riddle will
 receive a corresponding prize.

‘You Picked me? Answer me!’

Direction: Pick a number on the model. Answer

the given riddle that represents the number that
you have picked.

Riddle 1. I have thorns in my body, but

majority loves me. I’m famous during
valentines day. Who am I?
ROSES

Riddle 2. I’m beautiful, sometimes I

appear pink, purple, yellow and white. I live in
the wood, where I am attached. Can you guess
me?
ORCHIDS

Riddle 3. My personality symbolizes

purity. Cleanliness is on me. I am always
accompanied by Ilang-Ilang. Do you know
me?
SAMPAGUITA

Riddle 4. My body is a combination of

black and yellow. In plants versus zombies, I
am the sun provider. Can you notice me?
SUNFLOWER

Riddle 5. I am a member of fragrant

family. My fragrance is evident to everybody.
Maybe, majority loves me because sampaguita
is together with me.
ILANG–ILANG

Riddle 6. I am composed of yellow

crystal-like petals. I am long and sometimes,
majority doesn’t recognize me. I am rare but I am
beautiful. Anybody, who knows me?

C. Activity The teacher will group the class into two. The
teacher will then explain the procedure of the
activity and after that he/she will guide each group
and supervise the groups for the preparation for
their group presentation.

 In this activity, learners will create a simple
advertisement to promote the model of
orchidarium.

Direction: Create a simple advertisement that will
promote the given model in terms of the following
advertisement goals.

GROUP 1

To encourage your customers to buy the model in

terms of its environmental uses.

GROUP 2

To encourage your customers to buy the model in

terms of its educational uses.

D. Analysis The teacher will ask the following questions for

the learners to answer orally.

the advertisement?
Q2. What will be the effect of good physical
structure of orchids in one’s feeling?
Q3. Do you consider orchids as an important part
of man’s environment? Justify.

Q1. The model used in the advertisement is called

Orchidarium Model.
Q2. It can bring positive mood to the eyes of
many individual that will lead to a fresher outlook
and disposition.
Q3. Yes. Because of the fact that it contributed
much in the aspect of respiration as well as it can
also makes the environment of human more
comfortable.
E. Abstraction The teacher will explain the following concepts of
Orchidarium to learners.

 Orchid meanings
 The orchidarium
 Orchid symbolism and colors
 Educational and Environmental uses

F. Application The teacher will browse a question for the

students to answer orally.

Question:
What are the benefits of orchids in one’s life?
How can you generalize the concept of
orchidarium.

Answers:
- Orchids are beneficial in one’s life
because it really contributes for a positive
environment and it possess several uses
and function in different aspects of life.

- The concept of orchidarium pertains to

the collection of orchids. A type of plant
that possesses both educational and
environmental uses.

V. ASSESSMENT The teacher will ask the learners to get ¼ sheet of

paper for a short quiz.
