PERFORMANCE TASKS
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. You will create a pedigree analysis of your family based on any of these three (3) traits given
below. It must consist of at least 3 generations (from your Grandparents, both mother and
father’s sides if possible, up to your generation)
Earlobes
- Detached/Free (dominant)
- Lighter/brown (dominant)
Hair
- Wavy/Curly (dominant)
-
2. The pedigree analysis you will be doing must be ONE (1) of the following traits given. The
outcome must be supported with pictures/evidence of that trait existing on the individuals you
put in the pedigree analysis. (IF possible, kindly indicate [N/A] if not possible)
TAKE NOTE: You don’t have to indicate your cousins (they are optional), only your family (you
and your siblings) must be included at the 3rd generation.
3. You might want to incorporate a picture in the shapes just like how we commonly do in a
family tree or CREATE a different diagram which reflects to your pedigree analysis, BUT do
not forget to also show the traits you considered why you think they or they do not have that
traits. Indicate the legends appropriately.
4. Indicate also the corresponding GENOTYPES based on your analysis. Refer to the given
pair of alleles given earlier at the first page to represent your genotypes.
5. On a separate section of your output, put your picture and enumerate at least 3 traits of your
most observable traits surely you have acquired from your parents.
CRITERIA:
Completeness 15%
- (from the 1st generation which consists of the grandparents from both of your
parents’ side, if possible)
- Inclusion of your cousins in the 3rd generation is only OPTIONAL. Must focus on
your family circle.
- Suggested contents:
- 1st generations: (your grandparents from your mother and father side)
- 2nd generation: (your mother and father branching out from your grandparents,
and your aunties and uncles, do not include their husband/wife)
- Please take into consideration the trait manifested in all generations to get a
more accurate prediction of the genotypes
- Use appropriately the legends we have for pedigree analysis. (the uses of the
shapes, shades, lines etc.)
- Correct use and representation of the pair of alleles provides for each of the
observed traits on each of the individual included in the pedigree analysis
TOTAL 100%
REMINDERS:
● YOUR OUTPUT MUST BE IN ANY OF THE FOLLOWING FORMAT (.JPG, .JPEG, .PDF,
.PNG)
● You can use any known applications to digitally prepare your output, just maximize and follow
this format:
● Size must not exceed 20-inch x 20-inch dimension (sample on the next page).Creativity is
your limit and texts are readable, especially the genotype and the descriptions.
● SAVE YOUR FILE AND RENAME IT USING THIS FORMAT:

Indicate each
genotype at the
lower portion of
the shape.
Each shape must contain
pictures or on a separate
diagram. You should also
indicate where you are at
this pedigree.
KINDLY REMOVE THE SAMPLE DIAGRAM
