Renewal or Replacement of Driver License or ID Card While Out-Of Country or Out-of-State
If you are currently outside of Oklahoma, you may use the following procedure to renew or
replace your license or ID card by mail, if your license or ID card is not expired and provided
your driving privilege is in good standing.
You may use this procedure to renew or replace a Class D license or ID Card only. Renewals
may be made up to one (1) year early. Replacements can be obtained any time during the four
year period the license is valid. (Effective November 1, 2009)

A copy of two forms of identification [see Primary and Secondary Proofs of Identity]
Self addressed stamped envelope
Required fee, payable to the "Department of Public Safety":
$21.50 for a renewal
$10.00 for a replacement
by mail to:
License/ID With No Photo - Beginning November 1, 2007, only one (1) license/ ID can be
issued with "Valid Without Photo" on it. You will be required to return to Oklahoma and have a
license or ID card made with a photo before any further replacements or renewals are issued.
If you are currently outside the State of Oklahoma, you may use the following procedure to-
1. Renew a Class D driver license or an ID card.
2. Replace a stolen or lost Class D driver license or ID card.
The information and documents below are required to renew or replace a stolen or lost driver
license or identification card.
Complete the information below, enclose the required fee, print the form and mail to the address above.

EXPIRED DRIVER LICENSE - If your driver license or ID card is expired by more than 30 days, you
cannot renew by mail. You must see an Oklahoma Driver Examiner at an exam site. Present copies
of ID as stated above.
EXPIRED DRIVER LICENSE FOR MILITARY PERSONNEL - If your driver license is expired more than
30 days, you must also furnish a copy of your military orders which show where you were stationed
at the time the driver license expired, along with the forms of ID as stated above.
