Alarms and troubleshooting

a) AC Fail Alarms
- No AC input to rectifier system – rectifier is OFF
- Battery is in discharge mode
Possible cause:
1) Power system AC mains breaker tripped
2) AC outage (voltmeter to measure input voltage at mains breaker)

b) ACH (AC input high) Alarms – Rectifier restarts when AC normalize

- AC input voltage exceeds pre-defined ACH setting – rectifiers shutdown
- Battery in discharge mode
Possible cause:
1) High AC input voltage (voltmeter to measure input voltage)

c) ACL (AC input low) Alarms – rectifier restarts when AC normalize

- AC input voltage falls below pre-defined ACL setting – rectifiers shutdown
- Battery in discharge mode
Possible cause:
1) Low AC input voltage (voltmeter to measure input voltage)

d) DCH (DC output voltage high) Alarms

- DC output voltage exceeds pre-defined DCH setting
Possible cause:
1) Rectifier output voltage out of tolerance – replace rectifier if needed
2) Check correct DCH setting on CSU

e) DCL (DC output voltage low) Alarms

- DC output voltage falls below pre-defined DCL setting
Possible cause:
1) Rectifier output voltage out of tolerance – replace rectifier if needed
2) Check correct DCL setting on CSU

g) DC Breaker Tripped Alarms

- One or more DC breakers have tripped
Remedy action:
1) Re-set tripped breaker and check if alarm has normalized.
2) If breaker trips again, check whether load exceeds breaker rating
3) Replace breaker with higher current rating, if needed

h) TAH (High ambient temperature) Alarms

- Ambient temperature exceeds pre-defined TAH setting
Remedy action:
1) Verify ambient temperature reading on CSU with other temperature readings
within the hut or room
2) If temperature is normal, increase cooling power of the air-conditioner
3) If temperature sensor is faulty, replace it if available. Otherwise, turn OFF
temperature compensation
4) If temperature remains above TAH, turn OFF AC main input to rectifier system
