Preamble
ARTICLE I
Section 1. The name of this league shall be General Parents Teachers Association
(GPTA).
Section 2. The main office of this organization shall be in the school office,
Maraymaray Elementary School, Maraymaray, Don Carlos, Bukidnon.

Declaration of Principles
Section 2. The powers and duties of the officers are those provided in the
constitution.
Section 3. In the formulation of the policies, top consideration will be the welfare of
the members.
ARTICLE IV
Section 1. The officers of GPTA are the following: President, Vice President,
Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer, Auditor,
Assistant Auditor Social Managers, Business Officers and the PIO’s.
Section 2. The elected officers shall hold office term for one Calendar Year.

Membership
ARTICLE VI
Section 1. The election of officers shall be done during the first month of the calendar
year through a voting.
Section 2. Only active and present members present during the election shall be
nominated and elected as officers.
ARTICLE VII
Powers and Duties of Officers
Section 1. President
a. The president is the chief executive of the organization and is vested with the
power to enforce the provisions of the constitution and to execute the rules
and regulations that the organization shall promulgate from time to time.
b. He/She shall preside meetings of the organization and shall vote only when
such vote is needed to break the tie.
c. He/She shall represent the organization in any transaction with the school
principal in which the group is a part and he/she can sign contracts with
private or government entity for in behalf of the league.
d. In case of death aid, he/she shall see to it that the said aid shall be given in
due time.
e. He/She shall call for a meeting of the members if such meetings are
necessary.
f. He/She shall report on the activities and accomplishments of the organization
to the school principal.
a. The vice president shall take the place of the President in case of death,
transfer of station, absence or inability of the latter to perform his/her duties.
b. He/She shall chair any committee upon the appointment of the president and
the same with the other officers.
a. The secretary shall keep a record of all activities of the league, attendance,
minutes of the meetings and etc.
b. He/She shall prepare and keep custody of all the documents pertaining to the
organization.
c. He/She shall help the president in the preparation of the annual reports.
d. He/She shall furnish each school a copy of the minutes of all meetings.
Section 4. The Assistant Secretary
a. The Assistant Secretary shall take the place of the secretary if the latter is
unable to perform his/her duties and functions.
b. He/She shall automatically assume the position of the secretary in case of
death, transfer to the other place, resignation or removal from service and office.
a. The treasurer shall collect all the money accruing to the organization.
b. He/She shall pay all monetary obligations of the organizations.
c. He/She is liable of the money in case of loss in all events.
d. He/She shall render a written report duly signed by him/her, countersigned by
the auditor and attested by the president of the financial status of the
organization at least once a year and or whenever requested by the
organization and or the Board.
Section 6. Assistant Treasurer
a. The Assistant Treasurer shall take the place of the treasurer if the latter is
unable to perform his/her duties and functions.
b. He/She shall automatically assume the position of the treasurer in case of
death, transfer to the other place, absence, removal from the service and
office, etc.
a. The Auditor shall pass judgement on all money claims against the
organization and approve or disapprove the same before payment is made
except in case of death aid in which disbursements can be affected even
without auditing.
b. He/She shall have access to records of the treasurer that pertains to the
organization.

ARTICLE VIII
Funds, Collections and Disbursements
Section 2. Annual contribution will be based from the agreed amount during the First
General Assembly of the said organization.

General Provisions
Section 1. When an elected official is transferred or has transferred to another
school, his/her tenure of office is automatically terminated.
ARTICLE XII
Amendments
Section 1. Any member may propose for an amendment of the constitution and by-
laws.
Section 2. Any amendment to this constitution and by-laws shall become a part
thereof after it shall have been duly approved by the body.
