WRITING CONCEPT PAPER RUBRIC

Goal: The students must be able to effectively write a concept paper about their chosen topic that is
associated with the theme per strand.
Role: You are a professional (e.g. engineer, businessman, programmer, ethnographer, athlete, artist, and
performer) who needs to present a concept paper to various audience.
Audience: The audience will be potential clients or customers and foreign visitors.
Situation: Your investor/superior asked you to write a concept paper about:

 The innovation and technological advancements in the modern world as an engineer


 Popular start-up food and beverage businesses as a businessman/woman
 New computer programs and applications as a programmer
 Characteristics and history of indigenous tribes in the Philippines as an ethnographer
 Different kinds of pasta dishes and its recipe/background as a chef
 Kinds of sports, music and dance and its aesthetic value as an artist

Product: The product is a concept paper that has three to four paragraphs containing minimum of five
sentences each.
