Comp. Architecture

In these days, technology is developing rapidly as well as supporting components such as

CPU. Along the way, the CPU has even become a popular industrial field where industry parties
are competing to create the best products and dominate the market. There are many attributes
that are tried to be put forward in a CPU to balance the needs of the era called technology.

Figure 1. Processor by AMD

The image above is one of AMD's CPU creations. In the last years, companies such as AMD and
Intel are leading the race in the market. In terms of the products offered, AMD and Intel offer speeds with
very high levels of capability. This really supports market needs such as games, graphics-based products,
program complexity to smart hardware. Later in this report will highlight AMD and Intel and trying
compare CPUs from both parties on several topics.

3. Comparison
Key feature in AMD Ryzen 9 5000 series is using “Zen” architecture. Equipped with
end-to-end design enhancements, "Zen 3" embodies AMD’s relentless focus on single-core
performance, energy efficiency, and reduced latencies. Later on, AMD states self-
proclaimed that it is the best gaming processors in the world. While Core i7 are not built on

purpose for gaming, but still support for high-end game environment. On the other hand,
key feature in Core i7-11700F are Wi-Fi 6 that can be enabled PCs and wireless networks deliver a
generational advance in Wi-Fi performance, traffic management and for improved latency. However,
AMD Ryzen 9 5950X, the "Zen 3" architecture transitions to a new "unified complex" design that
brings 8 cores and 32MB of L3 cache into a single group of resources. This dramatically reduces
core-to-core and core-to-cache latencies by making every element of the die a next-door neighbor
with minimal communication time. That means, AMD Ryzen 9 5950X have lower latency than Core
i7-11700F. Although the core i7 11700f is inferior to AMD Ryzen 9 series in specifications, this
CPU from Intel still supports features that are no less sophisticated. For example, it is supported with
Intel Optane Technology that can reducing bottlenecks and data latency. It also has Intel Adaptix
Technology Enables Automatic Tuning which means it support high levels of maximum
performance and hel end users customize performance from overclocking to advanced graphics
settings.

4. Conclusion
AMD Ryzen 9 5950X is superior to Core i7-11700F, in terms of specifications. because
AMD Ryzen 9 5950x is made for gaming and graphics purposes. whereas the Core i7-11700F has no
specific purpose created. Even though it is far behind, the Core i7-11700F can still support high
performance.
