1. Why do we have an LGBT plan?

When people have an opportunities for participation in community life, the whole community benefits. Local government
has a legislated role providing opportunities for all to achieve maximum health and well-being. This LGBT plan believes in the
benefits of diversity and the rights of all people to be free from discrimination and have opportunities to participate in all
aspects of community life.

It provides a framework to guide the way that we work to promote and foster inclusion, access, and equity. In the future
could be used to address the inclusion for people in different life stages and other social issues. In addition to addressing
barriers, the plan seeks to increase opportunities for participation and other social issues.

2. Goals of the Action Plan


 The goal is a society characterized by openness, tolerance and inclusion
 The overall purpose of the action plan is to put end to the discrimination out by LGBT- persons in different phases of
life and on different arenas.
 LGBT- persons should experience zero-tolerance threats, exclusion, violence and other forms of discrimination- in all
sectors and arenas.
