Kerala's Gita Champion 2019 is a competition organized by ISKCON ( The

International Society for Krishna Consciousness ) center at Trivandrum

Kudappanakunnu. ISKCON has more than 900 centers all around the world.
ISKCON is famous through out the world for conducting various social, cultural and
spiritual activities for the well being of the society . Over the years ISKCON has
successfully established a universal community centered around the understanding
"Simple Living & High Thinking " which teaches everyone to live in harmony with
nature and to live a life of exemplary character which will not be biased in terms of
religion,caste or creed. Founder Acharya of ISKCON is His Divine Grace
A.C.Bhakitvedanta Swami Prabhupada. He is a famous scholarly author who has
written more than 60 volumes of books on the various aspects of spirituality in depth.
His books have been accepted as reference texts in various universities in the world.
He is known for his ability to explain even the complex aspects of Spirituality in a
simple lucid way without compromising on the essence of it. He has given
commentary on Bhagavad Gita which is popularly known " Bhagavad Gita
As It Is". This book has come in the Guinness Book of World Records as the most
widely distributed Bhagavad Gita all around the world.

Based on this edition of Bhagavad Gita we are conducting a competition for

students studying in +1,+2 and graduation all across Kerala. Name of the
competition is " Kerala's Gita Champion 2019 ". Our goal is to give youth of Kerala
an opportunity to dive deep into the oceanic wisdom of Bhagavad Gita in between
their busy academic schedule so that they can take inspiration to develop good
 character , live a life based on values and principles and thus they become exemplary
leaders for the world in future. Since many years we have been conducting similar
competitions in Mumbai. In the year 2014 first prize was won by a Muslim girl
called Mariyam Siddiqi. She was given special appreciation by the honourable PM
Sri Narendra Modi.

Kerala's Gita Champion 2019 will be conducted in 2 Levels. Level -1 is an online

MCQ of 108 Random questions. Participants scoring at least 50% will be eligible to
take part in the Level - 2 of the competition which is will be an Elocution Contest.
Student who scores maximum in the final elocution contest will be declared as the
winner of Kerala's Gita Champion 2019.

1st Prize : 1 Lakh
2nd Prize : 50K
3rd Prize : 25K
School or College of the first prize winner will also get an ever rolling trophy.

Registration Process:
1) Students will have to register themselves online through our website
www.keralagitachampion.com
2) After filling up the registration form, students will have to make the payment for
the Registration Fee of Rs.350. This fee will be towards meeting the expenses for
conducting this competition.
3) Once the Registration process is complete, students will get an email containing
the login link , user id and password for the online MCQ exam portal.
To login to this portal participants will also have to enter an Authorization code. This
authorization code will be couriered to the participant along with the preparation kit
for the competition.
4) Participants will have to chose their language of preference for giving exam during
registration. Language of preference can be English or Malayalam
 MCQ Exam:
Dates for giving the online MCQ Exam will be announced at our website and
students will be notified through their registered email and sms.

Elocution Contest:
Participants scoring atleast 50% in the MCQ Exam can appear for the
Elocution Contest. This Elocution Contest will be conducted at a venue which
will be decided as the competition progresses taking into consideration
convenience of all the participants.

Winner of the Elocution Contest will be declared as the winner of the title
" Kerala's Gita Champion 2019 "

How schools can actively participate ?

1. Principal can announce this competition in the assembly.
2. Conduct a meeting among class teachers to inspire students to participate and
to ensure that maximum students are participating.
3. Put the A3 poster in Noticeboard. Put a flex in the school.
4. Put the what's app poster in what's group .
5. Announce this competition in the PTA meeting and PTA what's app group.
