Business Establishments' Economic Effect on the Community in Balagtas, Batangas City

Balagtas is one of Batangas City's 105 barangays. The government and investors regard it as a
lucrative and profitable region for enterprises and industries. It will always be viewed as a potential
industrial / business location because it is part of the Regional Agro-Industrial Center and Special
Economic Zone required by the Medium-Term Philippine Development Plan and Ecozone Act of 1995.
The designation of Balagtas' harbor as an international port and alternative port of Manila has resulted
in fast growth in the Batangas city. Its strategic location as part of the city, as well as its status as the
entrance to the Star Tollway, which connects to the Port Diversion Area, will undoubtedly attract both
domestic and foreign investors.

Ecotourism Industry in Ilijan Batangas City, Philippines

The government recognizes the tourist industry as a significant contribution to foreign exchange
profits, investments, income, employment, and the expansion of the country's production. Tourism is
undergoing a moment of significant transition after decades of tremendous quantitative expansion.
Tourists, who are the industry's consumers, have begun to demand changes in the circumstances of
production and consumption of tourism services.

Residents in Ilijan, Batangas City, believe that the environmental impact of the ecotourism
sector in their community can assist to improve marine biodiversity protection. Furthermore, local
inhabitants are more aware of the economic implications of ecotourism and believe that it may assist
local citizens or business owners in generating additional revenue.

Road Connections: Roads, Bridges and Flyover

As of year 2019, the city's total road length was 584.54 kilometers, including 102.19 kilometers
of national highways, 30.54 kilometers of roadways, and 451.81 kilometers of barangay roads.

The entire length of asphalt surfaced roads is 170.08 kilometers, according to the assessment.
The total length of concrete-paved roads is 346.28 kilometers. The unpaved route is 34.85 kilometers
long, whereas gravel roads are 33.41 kilometers long. According to the records, the length of all roads in
the city has increased from 559.38 kilometers in 2018 to 559.38 kilometers in 2019.
The valuation detailed the length in meters, descriptions, and conditions of forty-eight (48)
existing bridges (local and national) and one (1) flyover along national and barangays highways in
Batangas City.
