SYNOPSIS:
 An operating system manages the working of a computer.
 There are two types of operating systems: CUI operating system and GUI operating
system.
 Command Line Interface ( CLI )
 Graphical User Interface ( GUI )
 In CUI operating system, the instructions are given to the computer by typing text. In
a GUI operating system, the instructions are given to the computer using a keyboard
or a mouse.
 DOS( Disk Operating system ) is a CUI operating system and Microsoft Windows is a GUI operating system.
 The Windows 7 desktop has different components. They are: desktop background or
wallpaper, icons, taskbar and the Start button.
 The power mode options provide different methods to turn off a computer. The four
power modes are shut down, restart, sleep and hibernate.
