1 Adjustment of car balance


1.1 Preparing the work
① Carry the balance weights and weight bracket into pit.

② Set up the safe scaffold at the working position inside of bottom service floor pit.

③ Stop the car at the working position of bottom service floor, and turn on the E.stop

switch.

④ Assemble all part of car which were temporarily assembled.

⑤ Keep the car with no-load condition.

⑥ Remove the up-and-down guide roller stopper and compressive spring set.

⑦ Get the door closed putting the car door and landing door together.

⑧ Prevent any rubbing between limit switch and cam.

⑨ Pull the pin from the wedge catch lever socket of cross head, and separate from the car.

⑩ Undo the double nut of lower tie rod without rubbing with the tie bracket.

1.2 Car balance


1.2.1 Balance weight piling

a. Leave he car hanging freely at the rope.

b. Verify that the right & left wedges have the same size and pile the balance weights at

the lower part of car.

c. Pile the balance weights within the supplied quantity limits.

d. It should fall freely after lifting up the wedge.

e. Have the tightening double nut of lower tie rod make contact slightly with the tie

bracket.

f. When the double nut is contacted with the tie bracket, tighten by half a turn.

1.2.2 Adjustment of guide roller

a. Adjust the up-and-down guide roller compressive spring to be within the standard

value.

b. Adjust the spring nut of guide roller to be within the standard value.

(Handle the compressive spring with mutual symmetry of right and left side)

c. After fixing the guide roller spring measure the compressed distance with a gauge.

d. Keep the gap between the guide roller stopper and double nut within 2±1mm and
tighten.

1.3 Adjustment of positecter and shelter plate


1.3.1 Positecter assembly
a. Temporarily assemble positecter on the fitting plate by bolts.
b. Assemble bracket at the cross head and positecter.
c. After adjusting straightness and distance by pulling down plumb to positecter assemble
by bolt.
1.3.2 Adjusting shelter plate

a. Verify that the car sill and landing sill are at the same level.

b. Pull down the plummet from the leveling device and adjust to be vertical

c. Make the shelter plate meet at the vertical center of idea sensor.

d. Adjust the shelter plate to the inner side of 40~42mm to be blocked out.

e. Adjust the height of shelter plate so as to be projected up-and-down by 5mm from the

leveling device.

[Attention]

a. Assemble the shelter plate to the non-stop floor.(For floor counter)

b. If the fishplate is rubbed with the assembling position of shelter plate, assemble the
shelter plate guide additionally.

1.4 Adjustment of car and counterweight balance


1.4.1 Preparing for work

Reference: Take a measure by using the hook meter(refer to the regulating test)

a. Assemble all parts to the car and keep the no-load condition.

b. Pile the weight for the test which is given 45~48percent of rated load at the inside of

car.

c. Convert the car to the low-speed mode, and let is stop at the spot of counterweight and

cross.

d. Close the landing door and car door, wait at the outside of car.

1.4.2 Checking balance

a. At the control panel DOC PCB, check that the R2LD relay is "on" and then turn off the

power of control panel.

b. Open the traction machine brake by hand and check the turning direction of motor.

c. When the brake is open, follow it on the way down so as not to be turned to special

direction

d. When it is turned to the car side, remove the weight from the inside of car. b. When it is

turned to the counterweight side, add to pile the weight to the inside of car.

e. Removing and adding weight, remove and pile sub weight to the counterweight side

f. Fix the supporting bar and stopper for fixing the sub weight of the counterweight

1.6 Finishing work


1.6.1 Cleaning the machine room

a. Turn off the power of building and sweep control panel, overspeed governor, Traction

Machine Beam and machine room floor.

b. Put back the covers of every opened and closed piece of equipment.

c. Paint the welding spots of every part of machine room.

d. Turn on the power of building, and lock the machine room entrance door.

1.6.2 Cleaning the entrance

a. Remove the protective tape of Jamb, door, bottom and L-sill of each floor.

b. Check that the jamb and door of each floor is not covered with foreign materials.

c. Sweep the landing sill of each floor.

d. Check that IND and bottom are normally operated.

e. Check that the marking condition of hall lantern is all right.

f. Check that a light is seen from the IND and bottom.

1.6.3 Cleaning and painting in the hoistway

a. Assemble the covers of every opened and closed piece of equipment.

b. Sweep the rail bracket, guide rail, landing door operator, the top of car and Pit floor.

c. Paint the welding spots of every part of inside of hoistway.

d. Check for tarnish on the welding spots and paint's condition.

f. Check if the traveling cable is rubbed with the hoistway equipment.

1.6.4 Cleaning the inside of car

a. After cleaning the foreign materials from the inside of ceiling plate, remove the

protective tape from car enclosure wall.

b. Hang the lamp, check the lighting condition, and assemble the ceiling acrylic cover.

1.6.5 Check the inside of car

a. Check the assembled state of acrylic cover and lighting operating the switch for lighting

of the inside of car.

b. Turn off the MCB for lighting and check the lighting condition of emergency lamp.

c. Check that the brightness of emergent lamp is 1 LUX or more.

d. Check that the lighting of car hall fixtures is all right.

e. Check the lighting condition of every bottom of car operating panel and the registered

condition of sailing floor.

f. Verify that the E.Stop of car operating panel is operating normally.

1.6.6 Apron assembly

a. Separate the bolts(M6,three)for assembly from the apron.

b. Temporarily affix the apron support to the bottom of floor with bolts(M10,2*2).

c. Fasten the apron closely to the floor with bolts(M6, three).

d. Temporarily fasten the apron and apron support with bolts(M10,2*2)

e. Make the apron incline abort 5 degrees to the inner side and tighten with bolts.

f. Attach the inspection light to the apron with bolts(M6, two).
