I.IDENTIFICATION
Raffaele Garofalo 1.An Italian Law Professor coined the term criminologia.
Paul Topinard 2.French Anthropologist, used the term criminology in French criminologie for the first time
Penology 3The study of the control of crimes and the rehabilitation of offender.
Criminology 4.The scientific analysis of the causes of crimes and the criminal behavior.
5.Refers to the investigation of the nature of criminal law and its administration.
Crime 6.An act committed or omitted in violation of a public law; it can either be an act of
commission or omission.
Exempting 7. The crime is attempted when the offender commences the commission of a felony directly

Frustrated felony 8. when the offender performs all the acts of execution which would produce the felony

Less Grave Felonies 11. are those which the law punishes with penalties which in their maximum period
are correctional.
Light Felonies 12. are infraction of laws for the commission of which the penalty of arresto menor or a
fine not exceeding 200 pesos or both is provided.
 Inherlenty13. are acts that are inherently evil. Examples are murder, robbery, etc.
Fire Arm 14. are acts which are prohibited only because there are laws forbidding such acts. Examples
are Illegal Possession of firearms, Traffic Violations, etc.

2.)What are the triangle of crime(3)
The Crime Triangle identifies three factors that create a criminal offense. Desire of a criminal to commit
a crime; Target of the criminal’s desire; and the Opportunity for the crime to be committed. You can
break up the Crime Triangle by not giving the criminal the Opportunity. Stay alert and use good
judgment by knowing whom and what is around you at all times. You can avoid becoming an easy
target.
