AMIS Requirement 1

Questions:

1. In what ways is the Wi-Fi technology changing the life of Dartmouth students?
Answers:
Students can use the Internet and computer anytime, anywhere, to reduce the frequency of
ordinary mobile phone use. 2. Students can go through the network to do homework, classes,
exams, can also use the network to go to the movies and play games and other leisure activities,
very convenient. 3. Students can use the network to create more things, such as writing code and
programming, as well as update software.

2. Some say that the wireless system will become part of the background of everybody’s life—
that the mobile devices are just an afterthought. Explain.
Answers:
Digital wireless system provides a specific means of digital wireless segment. Such as digital
microwave systems, digital satellite systems. Digital microwave systems include microwave
terminal equipment, feeders, antennas, microwave relay equipment and digital distribution racks.
Digital wireless systems can quickly and cost-effectively digitize communication lines because
they can take advantage of infrastructure such as engine rooms and towers in existing analog
transmission lines throughout the country. When the digital communication network is
configured to replace the equipment, it can also complement the reliability of the wired digital
communication line. Therefore, it can be expected that digital wireless system in the process of
establishing INS will play an extremely important mission. I think the implementation of wireless
system functions must rely on wireless devices, so the two complement each other.

3. Is the system contributing to improved learning, or just adding entertainment that may
reduce the time available for studying? Debate your point of view with students who hold a
different opinion.
Answers:
The development of wireless system to digital technology progress, I think the advantages
outweigh the disadvantages. Why is that? This is a great development in the history of mankind,
a substantial leap forward. Wireless network, let us learn and life are more convenient, can let us
learn more aspects, but also can make us more convenient to participate in entertainment. For
example, during the current outbreak, we can work from home, class, homework, chat, watch
videos and so on. It's really hard to imagine what life would be like without a wireless network.
As for some people who say that the development of wireless network will reduce the learning
time, reduce the efficiency of learning. This varies from person to person, because everyone's
self-discipline is different, if not self-discipline, you may become addicted to the world of the
Internet can not extricate themselves, you may always play games, or even become addicted. The
development of the network, will also reduce our reading time, I now read paper said time is very
small, because fragmentation time I will be used to brush the news or shake sound on the phone,
because taking paper books really do not carry a mobile phone to the convenience and fun.
4. What are the major benefits of the wireless system over the previous wireline one? Do you
think wireline systems will disappear from campuses one day? (Do some research on the
topic.)
Answers:
Wireless technology is becoming the preferred solution for network technology in a large number
of applications. Wireless technology is often very effective in solving problems when cable wiring
is not easy to implement. For example, storage tanks in industrial facilities often use wireless limit
switches to monitor the surface height of oil or other liquids in tanks.
Wireless technology can significantly reduce network installation and maintenance costs.
Because 802.15.4 wireless technology can penetrate walls and floors and transmit data
throughout the plant, it has no cabling costs, no cabling problems, and less restrictions on device
positioning and placement.
Rapid installation is another important factor in the adoption of wireless technology in factories,
especially on the shop floor where manufacturing and assembly lines need to be reset quickly
and efficiently to ensure minimal downtime. Hourly downtime can cost manufacturers tens of
thousands of dollars in economic losses.
When resetting or changing the layout of an assembly line with wireless technology, the plant
manager simply moves the device and wireless sensor transmitter to a new location and turns on
the wireless network without rewiring or installing cables.
Wired networks are subject to wiring restrictions in some cases: wiring, rewiring works are large,
lines are easily damaged, and nodes in the network are not mobile. Especially when the distant
nodes are connected together, laying special communication lines wiring construction is difficult,
the cost, time-consuming, it is really daunting. These problems create serious bottlenecks in the
rapidly expanding demand for networking, limiting user networking. As a result, a wireless LAN
appeared.
So to sum up, the cable network will one day disappear in the campus, it is inevitable that the
survival of the fittest selection process. The process by which new technologies replace old ones.
