TITTLE:- ASSIGNMENT

For Module 1;

1.Point to the following default desktop folders; Document, Computer, Recycle bin etc and carefully write the
screen tips.

DOCUMENT;(My Documents):is a folder meant for storing all user created folder & files.

COMPUTER; (My Computer) :-is a folder that contains all the installed drives (Hard Disk Drive,
Floppy Disk Drive, CD Drive and any connected external drives e.g Flash disk, Zip disk etc.

RECYCLE BIN :- is the temporary store for all deleted files from the Hard disk.

2.Write the steps you followed to Change the Background, Screen Saver and
Date/Calendar

BACKGROUND:-Procedure: Select Desktop Background ,the computer will display the current

wallpaper in a preview > Select any other wallpaper from the list under Picture location dialog

box and select Picture position. Several pictures can be selected to create a slide show.

Appropriate minutes for shuffling between pictures must be indicated in the dialog box labeled

“Change Picture every”.

SCREEN SAVER:-:Procedure: select screen saver from the dialog window,the computer will

display screen saver setting,select screen saver adjust the waiting minutes then click preview to

see the effect if the changes >click apply then on to implement.

CALENDAR/DATE:- Double-Click the computer clock button at the right- low corner of the

desktop and click change date and time settings OR


(ii) Right Click the computer clock at the right bottom corner and select Adjust Date/Time

option.

3.How many best results were suggested by computers for your help request as in section
1.6? = Is two (2)

4.Write out the suggested steps for shutting down your computer system.:

Press Ctrl + Alt + Del and click the power button in the bottom-right corner of the screen. From

the Windows desktop, press Alt + F4 to get the Shut down Windows screen and select Shut

down.
