Credit Hours: 3+0 Prerequisites:

Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs) Taxonomy

# At the end of the course the students will be able to: Domain level
1.  Summarize the importance of calculus and analytic geometry, and Familiarity
indicate several significant applications of this subject.
 Explain geometric interpretation of differentiation and integration.
2.  Calculate limits, derivatives, partial derivatives and integrals of
given functions using symbolic simulator, like MatLab or Usage
Mathematica.
 Solve practical problems with the help of symbolic simulator by
using derivatives, partial derivatives or integrals, e,g., velocity,
acceleration, slope, arc length, area under the curve, volume, surface
of revolution.
 To plot given functions, mark maxima, minima and show the tangent
line at any given point.
 Know how dot and cross products of vectors are used in practical
applications.
 Model projectile motion.
3.  Guess which calculus and geometry tools and methods will be Assessment
required to solve practical problems in the domain.
