WHAT IS PSME-UPSU?

We, the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers – University of the

Philippines Student Unit (PSME-UPSU), are a duly recognized student
organization based in the College of Engineering, University of the
Philippines - Diliman. Our goal as an organization is to promote
academic excellence, serve our fellow students and our community,
and to enrich students to become more competent and passionate
Mechanical Engineers, leaders, and nation builders.
Birthed in 1993, the organization helps transform students into
capable leaders who grow together, serve together and inspire
together the next generation of mechanical engineers. PSME-UPSU
continues to unite mechanical engineering students from all over the
country to share innovations in the field and to foster nationwide
camaraderie.

BrainMEsh is PSME-UPSU’s annual

nationwide Mechanical Engineering quiz
bee for Inter-High school and University
students. The event aims to expose its
participants to the disciplines of
Mechanical Engineering while fostering a
competitive environment for them.

Students’ Convergence 2020
An event composed of a series of webinars,
career and company talks discussing various
areas in Mechanical Engineering with the goal to
equip students with essential knowledge as they
enter into professional fields.

PSME Cup 2020

An Esports event involving PSME Chapters across
the nation partaking in competitive Esports titles.

With 286 attendees

PSME Cares 2020

Giving back to the community, PSME-UPSU’s
donation drive raised ₱27,000 for a 16-year old
student who lost his father and 2 siblings to a fire,
and an Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia patient.
PSME Month 2021
To celebrate its founding, PSME-UPSU hosts an annual series of events where
students gather to foster strong relationships and learn more about
Mechanical Engineering and the field of STEM. Through these events,
PSME-UPSU caters to every young and aspiring Filipino student all over the
country.
This year’s PSME Month is titled, “AC28: Moving Hearts. Propelling
Change”, to be held on September 13 to October 2, 2021. Exhibiting the
significance of Mechanical engineering in the advancement of the nation, our
event will help you connect with the best and brightest in the industry as we
showcase developments and the figures who spearhead this revolution.
PSME Features: INNOVATE

For this year, PSME Features: INNOVATE will be featuring undergraduate

project proposals of mechanical engineering students from different PSME
Student Units. The event aims to recognize the innovative ideas of
undergraduate students and to illustrate the relevance of mechanical
engineering as a field. It is also an avenue for students to reignite their
passion for mechanical engineering, especially during these challenging times.

A week-long series of seminars, career and
company talks where students from around the
country gather to listen, engage, and learn from
experts in various fields of Mechanical
Engineering. This will be held online through Zoom
and streamed live on the PSME-UPSU YouTube
Channel and PSME Month Facebook Page.

PSME Cup 2021: 2RCHES x
ACTU8ORS
An Esports event involving PSME Chapters around
the country playing against each other in
competitive Esports titles. The event aims to
bond members while encouraging competitive
play that adheres to the highest standards of
sportsmanship. The games involved are Mobile
Legends: Bang Bang, Call of Duty: Mobile,
Valorant, Wild Rift, and League of Legends
