The poem I made is about breaking stereotypes for teens.

I chose this topic because I wanted to prove

the stereotypes made for teens are not all true.

No u hears it wrong
Teens are lazy ………. No, you heard it wrong, we are not lazy we are physically capable of reaching great
heights

Teens are irresponsible ………No, you heard it wrong; we are passionate about our dreams too more
than you think.

Teens are not capable of writing anything great……… No, you heard it wrong; we are capable of writing
great things. We may not think like adults but is not necessarily bad.

Teens are inappropriate ……….. No, you heard it wrong, we are just fashion divas

Teens are always moody, mean and grumpy …….. No, you heard it wrong we are not always grumpy,
moody and mean we are filled with so many other feelings too.

Teens are selfish and only care about themselves………… No, you heard it wrong our love for your family
and friends are ready to buy the world and more.

Teens now don’t help others. They only care about themselves………No, you heard it wrong we help each
other a lot. We also have hearts.

Teens are addicted to social media………… No, you heard it wrong we may use social media but we are
not addicts.

Teens just too young to understand anything about life……….No, you heard it wrong maybe we are too
young for few life problems but we will understand and we will try to help you even though we don’t
understand completely.

To all the people who think this u are wrong. We are not lazy, we are not irresponsible, we are capable
of great things, we are not inappropriate, we are not addicted to social media, we are not always
moody, we are not always mean, grumpy and selfish, We don’t only care about ourselves we do help
others.

Now all I ask you is to get to know teen for who they are not who they are labeled as
