2. PURPOSE
Ensure that all personnel performing the job understand his/her responsibility and procedure as well as using
appropriate PPE during support of ground bed installation. For underground structures requiring
cathodic protection, the location and nature of the site where the anode is placed needs careful
consideration. A low soil resistivity, which would otherwise be classified as a highly corrosive soil, is
not the only factor which determines the location of the anode. Other factors to be considered include
the presence of foreign metallic structures, accessibility and availability of a power source. The location
which is specifically prepared to house a single or a combination of anodes is called a groundbed.

3. SCOPE
This procedure applies to all relevant ground bed installation activities maintained by PT. Tri Mulya Gemilang

4. RESPONSIBILITY
a. Project Manager & Feld Manager have the primary responsibility for ensuring compliance of this
procedure and to ensure the necessary resources for successful implementation are provided.
b. Supervisor and relevant and technician who support the works are responsible for compliance with
this procedure.

5. PROCEDURE
The 1000 x 1000 mm areas with hole at center are to be excavated to depth of 300 mm for concrete foundation

A 1000 x 1000 x 300 mm steel reinforced concrete foundation will be cast directly above each anode borehole.

The box wall made from bricks & cements will extend 400 mm above grade level/ foundation.

The box will have a 400 x 400 x 100 mm steel reinforced concrete cover with two 12 mm diameter ventilation
hole.
