Learning Objective:

 To provide an understanding of the problems inherent in legal situations involving


cross border element(s)
 To study and analyse the issues relating to jurisdiction in Private International Law
Sphere
 To understand and analyze the rules governing national and international recognition
and enforcement of foreign judgments. 
 To demonstrate the basic knowledge and understanding relating to jurisdiction and
choice of law in various areas of choice of law including, Contract, Tort and Family
law matters.

Pre-learning:

 The student should have studied Public International law, Contract Law, Tort law and
Family law
 To have read suggested reading as per session plan and other resources such as films,
documentary, as provided by the course instructor
