VER4000 PSU Fan Replacement Issue 1
1) Switch the VER4000/VER4000-S off using the front panel Key Switch and
switch off the 24 V d.c. supply at the ships switchboard.
2) Disconnect the battery using the in line connector, at the lower left hand side
of the MEE, see photo 1.

5) Using an 8 mm socket, undo the four PSU retaining nuts, see photo 3.

8) Open up the PSU and disconnect fan from pcb connector PL2, see photo 5.

9) Remove the two fan retaining screws, remove fan and then fit the new fan,
replacing the fan retaining screws.
10) Connect the fan to the pcb at connector PL2 then refit cover with four cover
retaining screws.
12) Refit the PSU in the MEE, refit the four retaining nuts ensuring that the two
cable screens are connected to the left hand side of the PSU retaining nuts, see
photo 3.
14) Reconnect the battery in line connector in the bottom left hand corner of the
MEE. Note: The MEE may switch on, if it does it should shut down within a
few seconds.
15) Switch the ships 24 V d.c. supply back on at the ships switchboard.
16) Switch the VDR back on using the front panel key switch and confirm
satisfactory operation.
