Narendra Damodardas Modi (/nəˈreɪndrə ˈdɑːmoʊdərdɑːs ˈmoʊdi/ ( listen) nə-RAIN-drə DAH-


moh-dər-dahss MO-dee ; born 17 September 1950)[a] is an Indian politician serving as
the 14th and current prime minister of India since 2014. He was the chief minister of Gujarat from
2001 to 2014 and is the member of Parliament for Varanasi. Modi is a member of the Bharatiya
Janata Party (BJP) and its National Democratic Alliance (NDA). 

Modi led the BJP in the 2014 general election which gave the party a majority in the Indian lower
house of parliament, the Lok Sabha, the first time for any single party since 1984. Modi's
administration has tried to raise foreign direct investment in the Indian economy and reduced
spending on healthcare and social welfare programmes. Modi has attempted to improve efficiency in
the bureaucracy; he has centralised power by abolishing the Planning Commission. He began a high-
profile sanitation campaign, initiated a controversial demonetisation of high-denomination
banknotes and weakened or abolished environmental and labour laws.

Rajnath Singh (Hindi pronunciation: [ɾɑːd͡ʒnɑːt̪ ʰ sɪŋɡʱ] ( listen); born 10 July 1951) is a right wing
Indian politician serving as the Defence Minister of India. He is the former President of Bharatiya
Janata Party. He has previously served as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and as a Cabinet
Minister in the Vajpayee Government. He was the Home Minister in the First Modi Ministry.[1] He
has also served as the President of the BJP twice i.e. 2005 to 2009 and 2013
Subrahmanyam Jaishankar (born 9 January 1955) is an Indian diplomat and politician who is the current Minister of External

Affairs of the Government of India since 31 May 2019. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party and is a Member of

Parliament in the Rajya Sabha since 5 July 2019, representing Gujarat. He has previously served as the Foreign Secretary

from January 2015[1][2] to January 2018.[3]

He joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1977 and during his diplomatic career spanning over 38 years, he served in different

capacities in India and abroad including as a High Commissioner to Singapore (2007–09) and as Ambassador to the Czech

Republic (2001–04), China (2009–2013) and USA (2014–2015). Jaishankar played a key role in negotiating the Indo-US

civilian nuclear agreement.

On retirement, Jaishankar joined Tata Sons as the President, Global Corporate Affairs.[4] In 2019, he was conferred with

Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian honour.[5] On 30 May 2019, he was sworn in as a cabinet minister in the second

Modi ministry.[6] He was made the Minister of External Affairs on 31 May 2019. He is the first former Foreign Secretary to

head the Ministry of External Affairs at the Cabinet-level.[7][8]

Amit Shah[2] (born 22 October 1964) is an Indian politician currently serving as the Minister of Home Affairs. He served as the

President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from 2014 to 2020. He was elected to the lower house of Parliament, Lok

Sabha, in the 2019 Indian general elections from Gandhinagar.

He has played an organizing and membership-promotional role in the elections of many states since 2014

In 2017, he was partly credited with the party victories in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Gujarat[6] and Manipur, A year later,

the BJP won 303 seats to get a majority in the 2019 Indian general election under Shah's leadership

Nirmala Sitharaman (born 18 August 1959) is an Indian politician serving as the current Minister of Finance and Corporate

Affairs of India. She is a member of the Rajya Sabha, upper house of the Indian Parliament, since 2014. Sitharaman formerly

served as the Defence Minister of India, thereby becoming India's second female defence minister and also the second

female finance minister after Indira Gandhi and first full-time female Finance Minister.

Nirmala Sitharaman worked as a salesperson at Habitat, a home decor store in London's Regent Street.[30] She has served

as an assistant to Economist in the Agricultural Engineers Association in the UK. During her stay in the UK, she has also

served as a Senior Manager (R&D)[31] for PWC and briefly at the BBC World Service.[17]

She has also served as a member of National Commission for Women. Sitharaman presented the Union Budget 2020–21 on

1 February 2020.
Nitin Jairam Gadkari (/nitin ɡʌdkʌˈri/ (About this soundlisten); born 27 May 1957) is an Indian politician and businessman from

Maharashtra[1] who is the current Minister for Road Transport & Highways and the Minister of Micro, Small and Medium

Enterprises[2] in the Government of India.[3] Gadkari earlier served as the President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from

2009 to 2013.[4] He is also known for his work as the Public Works Department Minister of the State of Maharashtra, where,

under his leadership, a series of roads, highways and flyovers across the state were constructed – including the Mumbai-

Pune Expressway, India's first six-lane concrete, high-speed expressway.[5][6] Gadkari is closely associated with the

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), which is headquartered in his home constituency of Nagpur.

Goyal became the Minister of Railways on 3 September 2017 taking charge from Suresh Prabhu.[20] Under his leadership,

Indian Railways established a ‘Zero Accident’ railway system and have seen no accidents for the past 22 months.[21][22] He

started 'Plan Bee', a method to prevent elephants from approaching the railway lines. It involves setting up of devices near

tracks, which emit the 'buzzing' sound of bees, saving elephants from train accidents.[23][24] He launched the first indigenous

semi-high speed train Vande Bharat Express between Delhi 2and Varanasi.[25][26] In all the mountain railways region of the

country, Goyal introduced Vista-Dome coaches, in an attempt to allow the passengers to enjoy the scenery of the hilly

terrains.[27][28] On 27 February 2019,

Smriti Zubin Irani (née Malhotra; born 23 March 1976) is an Indian politician, former model, television actress, and producer.

Irani is a Minister in the Union Cabinet of India. She is serving in the cabinet of Narendra Modi as Minister of Textiles and was

given additional charge as Minister of Women and Child Development in the 2nd cabinet of Modi since May 2019. A

prominent leader within the Bharatiya Janata Party, she is a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha, representing Amethi.

Sadananda Gowda :On 26 May 2014, Sadananda Gowda was sworn in as a cabinet minister in Prime Minister Narendra

Modi's newly elected government. He was put in charge of the Ministry of Railways.[15] He presented his maiden budget on 8

July 2014.

On 30 May 2019, Sadananda Gowda was sworn in as a cabinet minister in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's second term

government. He is put in charge of the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers.

Sadanada Gowda has worked for the labour movement being the General Secretary of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, Puttur

Division and President of Sullia Taluk Auto Rickshaw Drivers and Owners Union.

Arjun Munda defused the tension that was created due to the "Domicile movement"[9] in 2001–2002 and insisted that every

citizen of India had the fundamental right granted by the Indian Constitution to live and work in any part of the country.

During his tenure, Jharkhand got the 1st Lokayukta and the State successfully conducted the 34th National Games in 2011.A

32-year-long jinx was broken[clarification needed] when Jharkhand scripted history by conducting panchayat elections and

empowered PRIs for participatory governance.


His government introduced an e-tender system in government contracts to bring transparency and efficiency and to provide

equal opportunity in the procurement process.

Ravi shankar prasad :As Minister in charge of Electronics and IT Ministry, Ravi Shankar Prasad encouraged electronics

manufacturing in India. In the year 2014, when Narendra Modi government took office, there were only two mobile phone

manufacturing units in India. In 2019, there were 268 mobile and ancillary manufacturing units in India. Under his leadership,

India became the second largest mobile phone producers in the world in 2019 from just two mobile factories in 2014.

Samsung started the world's largest mobile phone manufacturing unit in Noida in 2018. Production of other consumer

electronics in India also doubled in these five years.

Dharmendra Pradhan has been the longest serving Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas in the history of independent

India. Popularly called the "Ujjwala Man",[2] Pradhan is credited with the success of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana launched

by the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas under which over 8 million LPG connections have been provided to women from

Below Poverty Line (BPL) families over the past 6 years.

Pradhan has led to some key decisions in the hydrocarbon sector.

In a brief tenure as the Minister of Steel, Dharmendra Pradhan has been working on to facilitate augmentation of production

capacity, ensure growth of secondary steel sector, jobs creation, ensures value addition and import substitution.

Narendra Singh Tomar (born 12 June 1957) is an Indian politician and a member of the 17th Lok Sabha. He is the Minister of

Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Minister of Rural Development and Minister of Food Processing Industries in the Second Modi

ministry. Previously he was the Minister of Mines and Minister of Parliamentary Affair in the Government of India. He is a

leader of Bharatiya Janata Party. He was also a member of Fifteenth Lok Sabha from 2009 to 2013 from Morena and

Sixteenth Lok Sabha from 2014 to 2019[1] from Gwalior.

Pokhriyal started his career as a teacher in Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh-affiliated Saraswati Shishu Mandir.[11] He was

first elected to public office in the erstwhile undivided Uttar Pradesh as a member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly

from Karnaprayag constituency in 1991, defeating a five-time Congress MLA.

On 30 May 2019, he was sworn in as Minister of Human Resource Development in the 2nd Modi Government.[13][3]

Following the ministry's name change to the Ministry of Education (India) in July 2020, he served under the title of Minister of

Education.[2]

Pokhriyal has written novels, stories and poems. He has authored 44 books in Hindi, some of which have been translated to

English as well as other Indian languages. They have been described by some critics and literature connoisseurs as "heavy

on patriotism, light on literary quality"

Thaawar Chand Gehlot (born 18 May 1948) is an Indian politician who currently serves as the Minister of Social Justice and

Empowerment in the NDA Government. He is currently the Leader of the House in the upper house of Indian Parliament. He

is a member of the Parliamentary Board and the Central Election Committee of the BJP.[2]

He is a member of the Rajya Sabha, upper house of Indian Parliament, representing the state of Madhya Pradesh. He was

awarded an honorary doctorate by the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University of Social Sciences.[5] He formerly represented Shajapur

in the lower house of Indian Parliament, Lok Sabha from 1996 to 2009.
On 30 May 2019, Harsh Vardhan was sworn in as a cabinet minister in Prime Minister Narendra
Modi's second term government. He is put in charge of the Minister of Health and Family
Welfare, Minister of Science and Technology and Minister of Earth Sciences.[26][27] Dr.
Harshvardhan as a cabinet minister in Narendra Modi government, declared reservation for
academic calendar 2020-2021 in MBBS and BDS colleges for the children of COVID-19 workers
who died during COVID-19 pandemic in India.
Prakash Keshav javdekar .He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and currently serving as the Minister of

Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Minister of Information and Broadcasting and Minister of Heavy Industries and

Public Enterprises. Following the victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the 2014 Indian General Election, Javadekar was

appointed Minister State (Independent Charge) for Environment, Forests and Climate Change by Prime Minister Narendra

Modi. He was also appointed as a Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs.[3]. avadekar is now the Human Resource and

Development Minister of India and also a veteran spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Before becoming a National

Spokesperson, he was also a Spokesperson for the Maharashtra BJP.

Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi

He became Minister of State for Minority Affairs and Parliamentary Affairs on 26 May 2014 in Narendra Modi ministry.[8] After

resignation of Najma Heptulla on 12 July 2016, he got independent charge of the Ministry of Minority Affairs.[9][10].He took

oath as cabinet minister in Narendra Modi's cabinet on 30 May 2019 and continued with the Ministry of Minority Affairs.

According to Naqvi, a "baseless" campaign had been started by Congress party to prevent Indian Muslims from joining the

Bharatiya Janata Party. Naqvi has also said that he does not harbour the allegationNaqvi feels that Muslims don't desert other

Muslims if they are given important posts in the Bharatiya Janata Party.[13] For the party to increase support amongst the

Muslims; he opines that they should feel that they are "equal citizens of this country", and also "understand that the bill on

Muslim Personal Law will not take away their right to practise their religion"s of Congress that as BJP came to power, there

was nobody to cause riots against the minority community.

Pandey was born at Pakhanpur, Uttar Pradesh to Sudhakar Pandey and Chandrawati Pandey in a Brahmin family.[2][3] He

received a postgraduate degree in Journalism and completed his Ph.D in Hindi from Banaras Hindu University.[2] In 1973, he

was elected president of the students' union of C.M. Anglo Bengali College. Five years later, he became the general secretary

of the students' union of Banaras Hindu University.[4]

Pandey spent five months in prison during the Emergency.[5][6] In 1978, he joined Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.[6] He

took part in the Ram Janmabhoomi movement and was booked under the National Security Act by the Mulayam Singh

Yadav-led state government

In the Cabinet announcement made on 31 May 2019, Pandey has been given the post of Minister of Skill Development and

Entrepreneurship in the 17th Lok Sabha under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Pralhad Venkatesh[2] Joshi (born 27 November 1962) is an Indian politician who is the current union Minister of Coal, Mines

and Parliamentary Affairs of India, since from 30 May 2019 and Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha, since from 2004,

representing the Dharwad Lok Sabha constituency. He was also the State President of Bharatiya Janata Party, Karnataka

(BJP) from 2014 to 2016. He served in the panel of chairpersons of Lok sabha (2014-2018)
Gajendra Singh Shekhawat

He publicly supported Modi for Prime Minister for a long time. He was among the eleven BJP ministers who were dismissed

by Nitish Kumar as a result of breaking the JDU-BJP alliance. He was a member of the Bihar State Bharatiya Janata Party's

16-member state election committee and a State Minister (independent charge) of the "Ministry of Micro Small and Medium

Enterprises ", MP from Nawada Constituency (2014 Indian General Election).[3]

Giriraj Singh

In May 2019, he became the Cabinet minister of the newly formed Ministry of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries after

defeating CPI candidate Kanhaiya Kumar in the 2019 Indian general election.[4][5]

Singh served in the government of Bihar as co-operative minister from 2005 to 2010 and as Animal Husbandry minister from

2010 to 2013. He has been a staunch supporter of Narendra Modi from the beginning. He publicly supported Modi for Prime

Minister for a long time. He was among the eleven BJP ministers who were dismissed by Nitish Kumar as a result of breaking

the JDU-BJP alliance
