A Chapter’s fighting force of around 1000 Marines is divided into 10

Companies, each commanded by a Captain assisted by a Lieutenant.

Each Space Marine company is led by its Captain and his Lieutenant. In some
situations a Lieutenant is assigned to lead a smaller force and so may be
chosen to be your army commander. However, a Lieutenant may not be
chosen as your army commander if you also have a Captain and / or a
Terminator Captain.

WEAPONS Bolt pistol and frag grenades.

ARMOUR Power armour (3+ save).

WARGEAR The Lieutenant may be given up to 2 Wargear cards.

The Lieutenant may be given additional equipment

chosen from the Armour, Assault Weapons, Special
Weapons and Grenades sections of the Wargear list.

The Lieutenant may ride a bike at a cost of 20 points.

STRATEGY If the Lieutenant is taken as the army commander he has

a strategy rating of 5.

SPECIAL If the Lieutenant is taken as the army commander then

any Space Marine units within 12” of him may use his
Leadership when they take a Leadership test.
