CHECKLIST FOR RESEARCH PAPER (Individual task)
Study the research papers assigned to you and check the guide questions for each chapter.
At the end of the checklist, answer the following questions.

1. How is this study helpful to its subjects?

This study is really helpful to its subjects because it will help the students meet the possible
solutions to the problem and help them get motivated in overcoming their speaking inabilities in class. That
is why teachers’ efforts should be focused on developing students’ ability to speak since learning to speak
is considered as the greatest challenge for all language learners and have to give more opportunities to
their students to express themselves by providing them with speaking activities that enable them to speak
English. With that, they will improve their speaking skill by just interacting with others, learn from others,
and the choice of the topics based on the learners’ interests in order to encourage them.

2. What are the strength and weaknesses of this study?

The strength of this study can provide an in-depth view of the topic, its cost effectiveness,
generalizability, reliability and versatility. While the weaknesses are; confidentiality, objectivity and error,
difficulties of public speaking and oral communications, poor in grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation,
emotional and physical health, the relationships, work productivity, or life adjustment such as nervous and
afraid to speak. Often subjects are not truthful as they feel the need to tell the researcher what they think
the researcher might want to hear and this can be particularly difficult during in-person interviews.

3. Give your personal recommendation for the study conducted.

Based on the data of this research, the 5 recommendations were drawn below:

1. English teacher should impose the English Speaking policy inside the classroom.
2. Students should not criticize or judge their classmates when they are speaking grammatically incorrect,
mispronounce the words, and answering incorrect inside of a class.
3. English teacher should teach their students in proper usage of the words, pronunciation, and grammar.
4. Students should participate in public speaking events.
5. The proposed results will be a great help to the teachers especially to the students for them to have a
collaborative classroom and good interaction to one another in delivering a certain topic.
