Mathematics

Mathematics is a peer-reviewed, open access journal which provides an advanced forum for studies related to
mathematics, and is published semimonthly online by MDPI. The European Society for Fuzzy Logic and
Technology (EUSFLAT) and International Society for the Study of Information (IS4SI) are affiliated with
Mathematics and their members receive a discount on article processing charges.

 Open Access— free for readers, with article processing charges (APC) paid by authors or their institutions.

 High Visibility: indexed within Scopus, SCIE (Web of Science), and many other databases.

 Journal Rank: JCR - Q1 (Mathematics) / CiteScore - Q1 (General Mathematics)

 Rapid Publication: manuscripts are peer-reviewed and a first decision provided to authors approximately 17.6 days
after submission; acceptance to publication is undertaken in 3.7 days (median values for papers published in this
journal in the first half of 2021).

 Recognition of Reviewers: reviewers who provide timely, thorough peer-review reports receive vouchers entitling
them to a discount on the APC of their next publication in any MDPI journal, in appreciation of the work done.

 Sections: published in thirteen topical sections.

 Companion journals for Mathematics include: Foundations and AppliedMath.

Mathematics 2021, 9(19), 2355; https://doi.org/10.3390/math9192355 (registering DOI) - 22 Sep 2021

Abstract

Fractional optimal control problems via a wide class of fractional operators with a general analytic kernel are
introduced. Necessary optimality conditions of Pontryagin type for the considered problem are obtained after proving
a Gronwall type inequality as well as results on continuity and [...] Read more.

Mathematics 2021, 9(19), 2354; https://doi.org/10.3390/math9192354 (registering DOI) - 22 Sep 2021

Abstract

A modification of the Brouwer–Zimmermann algorithm for calculating the minimum weight of a linear code over a
finite field is presented. The aim was to reduce the number of codewords for consideration. The reduction is
significant in cases where the length of a [...] Read more.

Abstract

An analytical solution to the problem of wave transport of matter through composite hyper-fine barriers is constructed.
It is shown that, for a composite membrane consisting of two identical ultra-thin layers, there are always distances
between the layers at which the resonant passage [...] Read more.

Abstract

This paper is devoted to establishing some Hermite–Hadamard-type inequalities for interval-valued functions using
the coordinated h-convexity, which is more general than classical convex functions. We also discuss the relationship
between coordinated h-convexity and h-convexity. Furthermore, we introduce the concepts of [...] Read more.
