AFFIDAVIT

I, EDWIN MEDEL SUETA, of legal age, married, Filipino, and a resident of Purok 3,
Agan-an Sibulan, Negros Oriental, after having been duly sworn, hereby state and
declare: that

1. I personally know Pastor Fred C. Arriola because I am renting his place at Purok
3, Agan-an, Sibulan, Negros Oriental;
2. At around 7:00 o’clock p.m. more or less, while I was at my rented place owned
by Pastor Arriola, when me and my child was about to go to Dumaguete City to
fetch my friend, I notice a motorcycle two persons, male and female boarding a
motorcycle arrived at the front of the house of pastor Arriola. The distance
between me and the motorcycle is only about 4 meters more or less;
3. The driver alighted while the backrider, the female remained seated at the
motorcycle. The male in a loud voice called pastor “Fred, Fred” which thereafter
I saw the latter. Then the male person said “higti imong iro kay hapit mapa-
akan akong anak,”(tie you dog because my child was almost bitten by it) to
which pastor denied, and said it is owned by his boarders, but the male person
insisted that it was owned by the pastor, and said “pusilon nako ng imong iro” (I
will shoot your dog) while simultaneously about to pull a gun at his waistline.
Pastor then replied “dili ko mag ingon sama kanimo” (I will not do anything like
you do) and to which the male person challenged Pastor Arriola to get the
latter’s own gun so that they will have a fire fight.
4. Thereafter, my little child called pastor Arriola to which to male person turned
his attention and saw my child which caused him to calm down. Later the wife
of pastor Arriola pacified the parties. Thereafter I returned inside our rented
house.
5. The male person that caused trouble is familiar to me because he frequently
pass by our area and I know for a fact that the wife of that male person is the
sister of the wife of pastor Arriola. Later I learned that the name of the male
person was Richard Calunod.
