Using HSBC system requires an internet connection with unlimited data with
minimum 30 mbps speed at last mile. This can be either through Wi-Fi or a
wired network connection.
Windows initial password - This will be shared by HSBC Entity Line Manager
(Entity Line manager will receive password notification from below email ID

Passcode - Please follow below mentioned IVR path to get passcode, this will
allow to get one-time passcode at a time, repeat the same steps 3 times to
generate 3 passcodes
Call Global IT Helpdesk: +91 40 66991200 (As mentioned above, call 3 times
choosing the exact below mentioned menu options to get 3 different passcodes that
you would need). Please pay attention to the IVR automated message to fully
understand your Alpha-Numeric passcode that may contain special characters as well.
1. Enter Staff ID
2. Press Option 3 - If you are calling to report service outage, access issues on
accounts or services which worked previously or any other Technical queries, Press 3
3. Press Option 4 - For connectivity via VPN, Citrix or assistance on any VDI
applications, Press 4
4. Press Option 1 - Please select one of the following options for issues related to RSA
SecurID PIN Reset or One Time Passcode Press 1
5. Enter authentication details

BitLocker authentication
Please enter BitLocker pin shared by line manager and press Enter.
Post successful authentication on BitLocker, Laptop will load OS and you will be
on below screen.

Cisco AnyConnect VPN authentication
Once you see above screen
Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete
You will see below screen
Click on the Network sign-in icon marked in red, this will open the Cisco
AnyConnect icon displaying “Connecting, please wait……” message as per
below snapshot.
Wait for few seconds to open Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client as
shown below.

Drop down network list and select your Wi-Fi network/broadband network
Enter your Wi-Fi/boradband password in Key text box as shown below and
click OK
You will be connected to WiFi network and then will connect to IN VPN
You will be prompted to enter User name and passcode as below

Please enter your 8 digit PeopleSoft ID in username
Passcode : 8 digit code which you have collected from IVR
Please enter the 1st passcode (out of 3 passcodes) and click on OK
It will prompt to set up 6-8 digit pin as per below. (You can setup numeric PIN
of your choice i.e. 1234567 or 7654321 and should not start with 0), please
memories this PIN for future authentication.
Enter passcode (6-8 digit pin followed by 2nd passcode received from IVR)
Click on Continue
You will be prompt again for Username and Passcode

Enter 8 digit PSID in username and passcode (6-8 digit PIN followed by 3rd
passcode collected from IVR )
Click on Accept to connect VPN
Windows authentication
Post successful Login to VPN you will now have to login to Windows
You will now be prompted to enter User name and password as below

After successful login to Windows please wait for 2-3 mins to load all policies and
services.
Note:
Step 1:
Search for ‘RSA’ in the app store for iPhone or Play Store for Android Phone and
select ‘RSA SecurID Software Token’ to download the application and follow
below mentioned steps for installing and configuring the application.

On your laptop, log in to the RSA Token Portal using your Employee ID and Windows
logon and follow the on screen instructions to generate your QR Code

Click on below logo as per your mobile OS to generate QR code.
Step 4:
Tap the + at the bottom left and tap Scan QR Code in the RSA application

Step 5:
You will need to ensure you allow the RSA Token app to access your camera
Follow the instructions on the online portal to generate a QR Code and hold your
camera to the screen to scan this.
After you have scanned the QR code, you will be required to input your PIN which
you set during VPN login via your laptop.

Step 6:
Enter PIN (6-8 digit PIN which was set up initially) on above screen to generate
passcode for login to VPN on next day or 2nd time.
Step 7:
Proceed to enter your PeopleSoft id as user name and the passcode will be displayed
on your RSA App.
You can change PIN by login to the RSA Self-Service Console portal and set the numeric
PIN only - https://gbv00075.systems.uk.hsbc:7004/console-selfservice/SelfService.do
